After dealing with other HVAC Companies that appeared to want to do a rush job. I found Comfortmax. I spoke with Mike and he answered my questions honestly. Tom the technician who performed the work at my home, he was awesome. He arrived on time and he didn't do a rush job and he also answered my questions as well as shared a few tips on how to maintain my system and how to keep my home more comfortable. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars. Great people make great companies and comfortmax has great employees.

Tom the technician who performed the work at my home, he was awesome. He arrived on time and he didn't do a rush job and he also answered my questions as well as shared a few tips on how to maintain my system and how to keep my home more comfortable. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars. Great people make great companies and comfortmax has great employees.

Comfortmax was recommended to me by a coworker who had used them 7 years ago for a new unit and has them service her unit twice a year. Everything was sweet and simple. I called and scheduled an appt for an estimate, the owner came out and got my old unit running. He gave me the best quote that I received out of 6 (and better equipment). Two weeks later everything was installed in half a day (I only wanted a Saturday). Even the county inspector assured me that I went with a good company and got a great price. Micheal even sent me a organized folder with all of my warranty info and filed my Duke Energy rebate ($500). Over all, this company does great work, has great prices and simply does business the old fashion way.

I have known Michael Goldberg for many years and always had Comfortmax service my HVAC system for years and they always did a fantastic job. After 20 years I decided to have Mike and his team replace my HVAC unit in the back of my house and in the attic including replacement of all duct work. Mike's crew Gene Cain, Conner & Hunter arrived on time to remove the older HVAC unit and then build the new RUDD HVAC unit in the Attic and the new compressor installation in the backyard. The team worked all day to get this project done and even Mike came onsite to see how the project was going and everything went GREAT. Mike's team was professional in doing all of the installation in my attic and backyard. Gene constantly kept me in the loop of any issues and there were NONE. Gene also installed a Wireless Ecobee Thermostat and what a great job they all did for me and my family today. I met a lot of company's in my 25 years in Charlotte NC and Comfortmax made me feel like part of there family. Mike runs a great company and the peace of mind that I was getting the best service and installation without paying more than I needed for my project. Mike and his team are HONEST, PROFESSIONAL and do a fantastic job. If I could give comfortmax a 10 I would do to Honesty is hard to find until I met Mike Goldberg and team. After the job was completed Gene Cain stopped by my house the next morning to make sure all went well and made sure that the new HVAC system was working correctly. MIKE, GENE, CONNER & HUNTER the experience having you in my home was great and I will recommend Comfortmax to all of my friends and family to use this trustworthy company. I was referred to Comfortmax by my home warranty company after they dispatched several other HVAC companies who failed to complete the job for one reason or another, advising the only option was replacement which would’ve cost $5,000+. Mike was determined to fix my unit, a ductless mini-split wall unit (3 total within the condo, one on each level) which isn’t common in Charlotte. He was the only contractor to perform an ultrasonic test to detect a leak that others ruled out with “100% certainty.” Within about two weeks, he had manufacturer part ordered and placed in the unit, he made time to clean it on a weekend, completed the repairs and reinstalled it in time for the 4th of July holiday, as promised. He has proven to be a solid and knowledgeable professional (also wears shoe covers in the house, very respectful) who I can’t recommend enough. I greatly appreciate his efforts and am thankful to finally have cool air throughout my home this summer.

They have always been very responsive, excellent customer service after the sale, and super honest about repairs. I've had others come in and give estimates and they want to replace the system whereas ComfortMax comes in and replaces a $200 part. Love the honesty and reliability.
