I was at Firestone the Monday before Xmas. Needed new tires for my car. I gave the rep my tire size for my car and he said he could do two rear tires but they couldn’t do the front because they didn’t have any to be sold or ordered. Since the rear needed them the most i told him i needed them. He commented that the brand i had wore out easily. I told him any brand is fine as long as they are the same type of tire (All Season) . I live up north and it is winter ( i know winter tires are preferred but i knew they didn’t have winter tires). He told me “let me go to the back and put my hands on them to make sure we have them.” Now it was important that these tires be all season because this is a mid engine car . Winter tires would be even better though. They put the tires on and i come out to take a look. To me they look like summer tires. I don’t work in a tire store but i should have listened to myself more. I tell him they are the wrong kind of tire. He says i would not sell a tire unless it was 3 seasons. I get ready to leave but decide to pull the car out of the bay and into a parking spot. I get out to look again. I go back inside and tell him i don’t think these are all seasons. The tread don’t look it and there is no mention that they are all season tires. I ask if I’m stuck with the tires. He says you have a warranty so you’re not stuck with them. He then looks up the tires and says “they are performance like but can handle all weather .” Well i start my drive back up north and when i get to the states that are getting snow, i can tell these aren’t all seasons. I stop at a Firestone near my job once i make it home and they confirm that these are summer tires. I’m currently seeing if they will help me out because not only do i feel stuck right now, the warranty he said i have only work if i bought 4 tires. Well they only had two to sell me. Hopefully the Firestone at 101 E Sunrise Hwy, Lindenhurst, NY 11757 can help out because it’s snowing today and i can’t drive my car. My dad warned me not to go to Firestone in lufkin tx when i was thereUPDATE: i received an email from Firestone social care 1/7/25 stating they someome would call me in 2 business days. Never got a call or voicemail. I did go to the long island firsestone in lindenhurst New York on 101 E sunrise highway. I spoke with them and they tried to help me out. Found out that the rep in Lufkin wrote the transaction up under my Miata. The Miata was 1500 miles away, i never even mentioned the Miata. He saw the Alfa, drove the Alfa, put tires on the Alfa so i was screwed because the service order was written under it. The lufkin rep also told me i was not stuck with these tires because they have a warranty. I found out the warranty is only useable if you buy 4 tires. I could only buy two tires from them because that’s all they had and he said he couldn’t order anything else.Update: was told 1/20/25 that a division manager will contact me in 2 business days. The first one hasn’t contacted me from 2 weeks ago 🙄
