It is advisable to contact them directly to get a clear understanding of their service availability and to discuss your specific repair needs.
When choosing an HVAC contractor in Florida, a homeowner is looking for a partner they can trust to maintain their comfort. The decision to hire a company should be based on a combination of factors, including their technical capability, reliability, and professionalism. Compass, as an HVAC contractor, provides a necessary service for the St. Augustine area by focusing on repairs and onsite service. This business model is convenient and directly addresses a critical need for local residents when their heating or cooling systems break down.
However, it is crucial to consider the customer feedback that is publicly available. Reviews that detail a "disappointing" experience, citing poor communication, a lack of follow-through, and unkept promises, are significant red flags for any potential client. In the service industry, a contractor's reputation is built on reliability and trust, and these reports point to potential issues in those areas. While every customer experience can vary, and these reviews represent only a portion of their client base, they highlight the importance of thorough due diligence. It is always recommended for consumers to check multiple sources of information, ask for a clear, written estimate, and establish a firm understanding of the service schedule and communication plan before committing to a contractor. Ultimately, a good choice is a company that not only has the skills to perform the job but also the professional standards to provide a positive and reliable experience from start to finish.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I could go lower than 1 star I would. We called them based on a referral from Viking to repair our gas range and do an overall service on it. Rob set up an appointment and came out but did not do anything. He said he would have to come back with help even though he knew what he was coming out to do and on what make, model and serial number unit it was. Then he disappeared for 3+ weeks knowing our range is almost unusable due to the gas smell. After multiple texts he finally set another appointment to just cancel that morning blaming traffic. Funny, I was on the same road he said there was bad traffic and I was moving along at 70 mph but I remained courteous. Now he has just totally bailed. Another bad contractor that doesn't communicate, follow through or keep his word. I highly recommend not calling these people. You will waste your time only to be greatly disappointed in the end.
Sep 11, 2019 · Aqua FishRob came out to our house and seemed great. However, he left promising an estimate, and never emailed, called, or came back. We can not reach anyone at Compass even after multiple calls.
Mar 27, 2020 · Patrick CruzHUGE WASTE OF TIME! I had Compass come out because I needed repairs done on my Viking range. I was given his name by Viking saying he was an authorized repair company (meaning he knows how to repair Viking). When he arrived, I felt like he had never worked on a Viking range before in his life. I knew more about it than he did. I had to keep making suggestions about what might or might not be causing the issue. He drove 90 mins to get to my house, spent an hour actually at my house and did absolutely nothing. Of the 3 or 4 repairs I needed, he did none of them. He claimed he was going to call Viking and order some replacement parts. Two weeks later, I never heard from him. We got in touch and he said he would come out. He never did. He said he was on his way twice but never showed up. And now he won't even answer the phone. Why don't you just put on your big boy pants and admit you know nothing about Viking instead of stringing us along for over a month.
Sep 11, 2019 · 5 Salty PiratesExtremely professional. Experienced technicians. And the best price we've found in town. It's great to have our dollars go straight to the experts instead of the corporation.
