New Construction HVAC Installation: They work with homeowners and builders on new construction projects, designing and installing complete HVAC systems. This service is critical for ensuring a new home is comfortable and energy-efficient from day one. However, some customer experiences suggest that it is important to carefully verify the sizing of the equipment for your specific home to ensure it can effectively handle the Texas heat.
HVAC System Repair: When an existing system breaks down, they offer repair services to diagnose and fix the problem. This is a core service for any HVAC contractor, aimed at restoring a home's comfort as quickly as possible.
Heating and Cooling Services: They handle both air conditioning and heating units, providing a full-service solution for year-round climate control. This includes troubleshooting issues with furnaces, heat pumps, and AC units.

Specialization in New Builds: Air Control is known for its work on new home construction projects. This specialization means they have experience in the unique requirements of installing systems from the ground up, a service that is highly sought after by local builders and new homeowners. However, some customers have raised significant concerns about the sizing of systems for new homes, suggesting that the installed units may not be sufficient for the home’s square footage and specific design features, such as vaulted ceilings and large windows. It is advisable to get a second opinion on the proposed system size to ensure it meets your needs.
Installation and Startup Process: The process of installing and starting up new units is a critical part of the service. Some customer accounts highlight potential issues with this phase, including delays and challenges in getting units to start up properly. This suggests that communication and clear verification of a working system before final payment are very important when dealing with them.
Customer Service and Follow-Up: The responsiveness and communication from the company are key factors. One customer review mentioned a significant delay in getting a final startup and an unreturned voicemail to the owner regarding concerns. This indicates that proactive communication and clear follow-up might be areas to consider when working with them. Ensuring a clear line of communication and a written agreement on all work to be completed is always a good practice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1New build install and was sold a 4 ton for a 2900sqft house with vaulted ceilings and lots of huge windows. Does not keep up and its not hot yet. also takes 8 plus hours to drop down at night. every AC company I have talked to has laughed and told me sorry for your luck but 4 ton is way too small. Not one would have sold to me. Air Control says never reaching temp is the way its supposed to run. I would stay far away. going with them is going to end up costing me big time. Basically have to eat the cost of this brand new system and buy a 5 ton somewhere else.
Jul 21, 2025 · Benjamin CarringtonVery disappointing experience. Did new home construction with them. Had to force their employees to remove empty spit bottles they were hiding in the attic during rough-in. At completion was pressured to pay in full prior to starting up units, after telling them I would meet them with a check to pay in full upon completion they finally sent somebody 7 days later. Twice an employee tried to collect the check without showing me the units were working. Both times I took them inside and asked them to show me the units turn on. Neither time were they able to start up A/C units. On the 2nd attempt the technician crushed the controller in his frustration. Upon the third attempt when they couldn’t start the furnace the apprentice whispered to the technician that he didn’t think the valve to the gas had been turned on. I overheard this and questioned if they had ever tried starting it. The response was “it should would work we don’t need to verify”. After this experience I called the owner Kevin Harmon and left a voicemail on his cell phone with my concerns, it has now been 60 days and I have not heard back.My recommendation is to stay far away from this company.

Apr 26, 2024 · Gilbert CarreonI want to give a HUGE shout out of Praise and Gratitude to Air/Control and their Amazing Technicians Jason and Richard! Last night, our Farm House Air Conditioner stopped working! I called them this morning... they could not guarantee me they could make it out today... at 6:30 pm I received a text letting me know they were on the way. Jason arrived 1st, did some preliminary testing and discovered our Blower Motor had gone bad... they don't carry those on the trucks usually, so he made some calls and they had 1 in another city at their Office Location and Richard was headed home to Cameron and swung by that location and picked up the new motor. Jason went to go eat dinner while Richard had to drive well over an hour to the office then to our home... Richard showed up at 8:30 pm with a brand new motor. Jason installed it like a Pro and at 8:55 pm the Trane Air Conditioning System is blowing cold air again! I'M SO IMPRESSED WITH THIS COMPANY AND THEIR WORK ETHIC! This job was slated for tomorrow evening, but since we slept in a hot house last night, this Team went the Extra Mile today and did what ever it took to get our system back online! That is 5 STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE and I want everyone to know about it! There are still great companies out their with great people representing those companies. I pray for a hedge of protection around Jason and Richard tonight as they drive home to their Families. Thank you again Air/Control for taking great care of us for over 12 years now!!! Your Company Leads By Example and it shows in your Employees and how they treated me and their willingness to get the job done regardless of the time! They left at 9 pm to head home to their Families. God Bless Them All. - Your friend - Jeremy
