Sears Heating and Air Conditioning Introduce
Hello, North Carolina residents! When it comes to maintaining our homes, we often need a versatile and reliable general contractor who can handle a wide range of services. From keeping our homes comfortable with a working HVAC system to ensuring they are protected from the elements with a solid roof, we need a company we can trust. Sears Heating and Air Conditioning, located in Asheville, presents itself as a multifaceted provider for many of these essential home needs. As a business with a long history, they offer a variety of services under one name, aiming to be a one-stop-shop for homeowners and business owners alike.
However, it's important for local residents to be aware of the complexities of a large, national brand. One customer's experience, as provided in the reviews, details a highly frustrating situation regarding a warranty-covered water heater. After waiting over a week, a series of canceled appointments, and a confusing back-and-forth with customer service agents, the customer was left with an unresolved issue. The review also draws a connection to larger corporate issues, referencing the brand's history and management. This feedback, while highly detailed and focused on a different service area (water heaters), highlights potential challenges with communication and service delivery that customers may encounter. It's an important piece of information for anyone considering their services, as it underscores the need for clear and upfront communication.
Another review provided, while brief, suggests a potential for confusion with the company’s identity, noting, “This is not Sears this is Kmart.” This comment, while short, could point to the complex corporate structure behind the brand and may affect the customer experience. For those of us living in Western North Carolina, the reliability of a contractor is often tied to their local roots and direct accountability. When choosing a service provider, it is always wise to investigate the local-level operations to ensure a seamless and trustworthy experience.
Despite these concerns, Sears Heating and Air Conditioning does present a very broad range of services, which can be convenient for customers looking to hire one company for multiple jobs. In addition to their core offerings, they also handle a variety of home services, from major appliance repairs to handyman-type jobs like bathroom and kitchen remodeling. Their website and service descriptions showcase a commitment to providing a full spectrum of solutions, which could be appealing for complex projects that require multiple skills. For instance, a home renovation might require everything from window installation to new air conditioning units, and a single contractor capable of handling these various tasks could simplify the project management process.
When it comes to the services related to "roofing contractor," the provided information is limited but specific. They list “roof repair” and “attic venting” as services, which are critical components of a healthy and functional roof system. The ability to handle these essential tasks, along with their other services, showcases a broad skill set. Similarly, their siding and window installation services, while minimally detailed, suggest they have experience in a range of exterior home improvements. The sheer number of service types they offer indicates that they aim to be a comprehensive resource for home care.
For those in the Asheville community, a company with such a wide array of offerings could be very useful for both routine maintenance and unexpected emergencies. They list 24/7 support for some services, which is a major advantage during a heatwave or a sudden system failure. However, based on the provided information, it is crucial for a customer to verify that the specific service they need is indeed offered and handled in-house, or if it is subcontracted, to understand the full scope of the project and the associated costs before any work begins. This is particularly important for services that are listed as available, but may have certain limitations or are subject to different rules.

Sears Heating and Air Conditioning Reviews
Made an appointment for service on our Kenmore Water heater. Waited more than a week for the appointment. Got a text mid-morning stating the appointment had been moved to the afternoon. Thirty minutes before the service tech was to arrive got another text saying the appointment was Cancelled and that I should call Sears Home Services, which I did because I was chapped about losing an entire day of my life waiting after already waiting for more than a week for service. "Why did you Cx?" I asked. The response was incredulous, "We don't service those type of water heaters." "I bought it from YOU! It's UNDER WARRANTY! How can you not service Kenmore products?" Three agents and I went back and forth for 30 minutes or more in an endless loop. They eventually made another appointment deep in December, which is 5-6 WEEKS from my initial call. I know they'll cancel it too because they "don't service that type water heater..." Bottom line is I'll have to fix it myself because Billionaire Eddie Lampert and Steve Mnuchin ran Sears into the ground while profiting from the sales of the closed properties and diverting those profits to their various other corporations, shafting an entire generation of customers and employees just to line their own pockets at our expense. Of course there are Forty-eleven lawsuits against these robber barons, but people like that are "Untouchable" because they have all that money they "stole" from all us poor folks to buy the best lawyers in the land to defend them using every technicality. Before those roommates teamed up, Sears was the largest employer in the United States. After they set their diabolical plan into action, the lives they ruined became so numerous as to be essentially infinite because of the future consequences of Sears imploding in on itself due to their actions, which wasn't "mismanagement," but a carefully crafted method of stripping Sears of it's assets over a long period of time. They're brilliant, but unscrupulous businessmen. Both should be banished from our shores and stripped of their citizenship, which wouldn't be that much of a stretch for Lampert because of how much time he already spends at sea on his Yacht, "The Fountainhead." Courts should seize their assets to repay all the Sears retirees they literally, and I mean literally, not figuratively, locked out in the cold. Google what Mnuchin did to mortgage holders who owed him a quarter. Repossessed their homes, that's what. War veteran? Who cares? I'm taking your home cause you can't spare a dime, brother. Was found legally lacking by the authorities for all those shenanigans, too. Still wound up the last Secretary of the Treasury. That's what I mean by people like that being untouchable. I couldn't hold my head up from shame if I plotted and acted the way those two scoundrels do. My grandmother, who worked her entire career and retired from Sears is turning over in her grave. God bless her soul. I would pray for Lampert and Mnuchin's souls, but their actions show an absence of mercy toward their fellow human beings and thus demonstrate a lack thereof of the necessary part.
