Frosty's LLC Introduce
In the Texas heat, a properly functioning HVAC system is non-negotiable for comfort and safety, making a reliable and professional general contractor essential for any homeowner or business. Frosty's LLC is a company with a local presence in Farmers Branch, TX, that aims to meet these needs by providing services related to heating and cooling. As a local business, Frosty's has a long-standing history of working within the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex, and some of its customers have praised the company's reliability and knowledge.
The experience with a service provider can vary greatly, and the reviews for Frosty's LLC reflect this. While some customers have found the company to be reliable and knowledgeable, others have reported significant issues. One customer, N. May from College Station, TX, described the company as "very reliable and knowledgeable" and would "use again and again." This review highlights the professionalism and accurate service the company is capable of providing. In contrast, another review raises serious concerns about the company's integrity and customer service, alleging damages caused during a recent HVAC installation and a failure to take responsibility for them. This particular review details significant property damage, including a large hole in a ceiling and a broken chandelier, and a refusal by the company to respond to calls or texts to address the situation. These conflicting accounts suggest a range of experiences, from highly satisfactory to deeply concerning.
Frosty's LLC is located at 11410 Mathis Ave, Farmers Branch, TX 75234, USA. The company's location in Farmers Branch makes it an accessible option for residents and businesses within the DFW Metroplex. As a local business, Frosty's is geographically well-positioned to serve a wide range of communities, including Farmers Branch, Dallas, Carrollton, Addison, and other surrounding areas. This accessibility can be a significant factor for customers who prefer to support local companies and those who require quick, in-person service for urgent HVAC problems. The physical address provides a base of operations for their service crews, who can be dispatched to customer locations across the region.
The local presence of Frosty's LLC also means they are familiar with the specific needs of Texas homes and businesses. The high temperatures and varying weather patterns of the region place unique demands on HVAC systems, and a local contractor would be expected to have an in-depth understanding of these challenges. For many locals, the convenience of having a contractor located nearby is a key consideration when choosing a company for installations, repairs, and maintenance.
Based on the provided information, Frosty's LLC's primary services revolve around heating and cooling systems. The company is described as a "general contractor" that focuses on HVAC solutions, which are a necessity for comfort in the Texas climate.
- HVAC System Replacement: One customer review explicitly mentions having Frosty's replace their main floor AC unit, indicating that this is a service they regularly perform. This service likely includes the removal of old units and the installation of new ones.
- AC and Heating Repair: The company is noted for servicing problems in a "quick and accurate way." This suggests they offer diagnostic and repair services for a range of HVAC issues, such as those that lead to a system not functioning properly.
- New Unit Installation: During an AC unit replacement, the company also installed a fan with more power to increase air circulation. This detail suggests they have expertise in not only replacing existing systems but also in customizing new installations to improve performance.
- Residential and Commercial Services: While the provided reviews focus on residential work, general contractors often serve both residential and commercial clients, offering HVAC solutions for various types of properties.
- System Maintenance: Although not explicitly mentioned, HVAC companies typically offer maintenance services to ensure systems run efficiently and to prevent future breakdowns. Given the context of their other services, this would be a standard offering.
The highlights of Frosty's LLC are based on the experiences of their customers. These features paint a complex picture of the company's strengths and weaknesses.
- Knowledgeable and Reliable: Some customers have praised the company's knowledge and reliability, noting that they are capable of servicing problems in a quick and accurate manner. This is a significant highlight, as it points to the technical competence of their team.
- Community Support: Frosty's is a local business in Carrollton, and at least one customer noted a preference to support them because they are a part of the community. This community-focused identity can be a strong selling point for many local residents.
- Professionalism (in some cases): A review highlights a crew that was "timely, efficient and professional" during a system replacement, which is a key feature that customers look for in a contractor.
- Follow-up Service: In a positive review, the company demonstrated a willingness to return and fix a minor issue (a rattling vent) "at no charge" and with just "one call." This commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction after the initial job is complete is a strong highlight.
- Integrity Issues (as reported): A significant highlight, though negative, is the severe integrity issues reported in one review. The customer claims that the company refused to take responsibility for damages caused during a project and stopped all communication. This is a critical factor for any potential customer to consider.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would not recommend Frosty's company to anyone. This company has integrity issues. They do not take responsibilities for their action. They came into my home to replace my HVAC system and knock a large hole in my ceiling. The broke my chandelier, scratched up much table, broke my class candle holder and refust to take care of what they destroyed. It's going on two months and I'm still trying to get them to take care of the damages they caused in my home. I've tried to contact them, they refuse to take my calls, refuse to return calls, and refuse to respond to my texts. This is not a good company to do work for anyone.
Jun 04, 2025 · Michelle PryorVery reliable and knowledgeable company. They serviced our problem in a quick and accurate way. Frosty's is a reputable company that I would use again and again. Professional and very much appreciated. Don't ever hesitate to use them when assigned to your needs. N. May College Station, TX
Dec 18, 2024 · Nancy MayMy overall experience with Frostys hvac turned out to be great! They corrected their oversight in charging me for a part that wasn't needed, and said they would give me a refund. Antonio Del Sol, and Harold Goey did a fantastic job with all the repair work, and we're very pleasant to work with, they were very accommodating and professional. I would recommend Frostys to all my friends.
Dec 18, 2024 · Rocky Lee MarshallIf I could leave -0- stars I would! Was referred to me through my warranty company. The technician, who could not speak English along with a younger male who looked about 15 came to check my system for a possible leak. They did not arrive until about 4:30 pm on a Friday! They said (via the secretary translating) that they needed to do a leak test but did not want to do it that late in the day because they would “have to drain the freon out” and that it would be better for me to wait til Monday so that I would have “some” air throughout the weekend. I paid $450.00 to Frosty’s ($100 for the service call and $350 for the leak test).I was told that I was first on the list for Monday and that they would be here at 8:00 am, they arrived at 2 pm. Meantime I have NO AIR and animals in the house plus the fact that I had to miss work waiting for them both days. They drained the freon, 3 pounds of it, and performed the leak test, finding a leak somewhere as the lines entered the house. Again, the secretary in the office after a few calls, that they were going to have to come into the house and tear out a wall to find and fix the leak. The technician did not have the equipment to do that and also that I would have to pay for the repairs to my wall. By this point, we are approaching 5:00 pm. The technician said he would have to come back in the morning to complete the job. At this point I do NOT even have a quote of the cost to repair. I received an email at 4:55 pm with a ridiculous quote of $1,200.00! Saying, the technician will open a hole in the wall to access the line set. The homeowner is aware that they are responsible for hiring and paying their own company to repair, patch up, and close the opening made by our technician. Frosty's HVAC will only handle the welding repair of the line set and is not liable for closing the opening.I had some questions about the invoice and when I called in the morning, I was told that their schedule was now full till August (It is June when they came) for them to return for the repair and I would have to call someone else. What? Your company already started the repair and collected my warranty service fee and I now have a hole in my brick where the lines go in! Unacceptable!!!!I wrote to request a refund of $400 total for the service call ($100) that the warranty requires as I had to pay another company to finish the job. It is not my fault that their company was too busy to finish a job THEY started along with $300 ($100 x 3) for the 3 pounds of freon they let out which I now know is a violation of EPA regulations “Section 608 (40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F) of the Clean Air Act prohibiting the knowing release of refrigerant during the maintenance, service, repair, or disposal of air-conditioning (AC) and refrigeration equipment.” A knowing or intentional violation of the Clean Water Act is a crime. Therefore I had to pay for 9 pounds to be put back in when the 3 pounds should have been captured in an acceptable container or released into the condenser and then put back after the leak test. The company rips you off, then is too busy, and breaks the law!
Sep 19, 2024 · Dimitria WatersRan into Omar in my neighborhood working on another customers AC units. I asked him if I can get a business card and he promptly did and told me all about their maintenance program. It sounded great and better than my AC installers program. I called the next day and the kind lady at customer service got me set up for the next day because it was the only day I was available. She worked around my schedule and I thought that was awesome. Omar came on time and worked hard for almost 2 hours. He’s very professional and kind. He explained everything he was doing and worked hard the entire time. They have a great maintenance program. After he left, I shared Frosty’s info to my entire neighborhood via our neighborhood social media group.
