Endzone Cooling and Heating Introduce
When temperatures soar in Poteet, Texas, and throughout the surrounding areas, a functioning air conditioning system is more than a convenience—it's a critical component of home safety and comfort. Finding a local HVAC company that is reliable, honest, and professional is a top priority for homeowners. Endzone Cooling and Heating is a business that operates in this region, offering a range of services to address the heating and cooling needs of the community. This overview provides a factual look at the company, its services, and the customer experiences that have been shared publicly.
The reputation of any service-based company is built on the experiences of its customers, and for Endzone Cooling and Heating, these experiences are varied. Some customers have had very positive interactions, praising specific technicians and the promptness of their service. A customer who had an issue with their A/C was very grateful for a technician named Jay, who was able to show up the next late morning and fix the issue immediately. This customer noted that this was the third time Jay had come out, and each time he provided "the best customer service." This positive feedback suggests that when the right technician is on the job, the company is capable of delivering effective and timely solutions.
However, other customer reviews raise serious concerns about the company's communication, billing practices, and the integrity of its staff. One detailed review outlines a frustrating experience where a customer with an HVAC background was allegedly given false assurances about a warranty claim by office staff, only to be billed later for a service they did not request or feel was completed correctly. The customer's interaction with the owner, Oscar Carrasco, reportedly escalated into an unprofessional exchange involving insults and threats. Another review highlights a different technician, Zack, who allegedly provided a false diagnosis, which was later disproven by a second opinion. This incident led to a refund for the diagnostic fee but a complete loss of trust in the company. These mixed reviews highlight a significant disparity in customer experience and underscore the importance of clear communication and careful documentation when working with the company.
Endzone Cooling and Heating is located at 10145 TX-16, Poteet, TX 78065, USA. This address places the company directly within the Poteet community, giving them a strong local presence. The proximity to Texas State Highway 16 also allows for relatively easy access to a wider service area, enabling their technicians to reach customers in various parts of the region quickly.
As a local business, Endzone Cooling and Heating is situated to serve the specific needs of the Poteet community. Their physical presence means they are familiar with the common types of homes and systems in the area. This local knowledge can be a benefit, as it may lead to quicker and more accurate problem-solving. Based on its name and customer feedback, Endzone Cooling and Heating provides a range of services related to HVAC systems. Their offerings appear to be centered on keeping homes comfortable and safe.
- AC and Heating System Installation: The company performs new system installations, as noted in a review about a new system installed in February of the previous year. This service involves fitting homes with new heating and cooling units.
- AC and Heating System Repair: Technicians are dispatched to diagnose and fix issues with existing systems. Reviews mention service calls for a compressor not turning on and an A/C fan not working, indicating their team handles a variety of repair needs.
- Component Replacement: The company's work includes replacing specific parts of an HVAC system, such as capacitors, as referenced in customer feedback. However, a review raises questions about whether this specific service is covered under warranty as promised.
- System Diagnostics: Technicians perform diagnostic checks to determine the cause of a system malfunction. A customer's experience highlights the importance of a thorough and accurate diagnosis, as an incorrect assessment can lead to unnecessary costs and a lack of trust.
- Customer Service and Scheduling: The office staff, including a person named Sarah, handles scheduling and initial customer inquiries. A review notes that Sarah was friendly and helpful, especially in the context of processing a refund.
The customer experiences with Endzone Cooling and Heating offer a mix of highlights and serious areas of concern for potential clients to consider.
- Technician Expertise (Varies): Some technicians, like Jay, are praised for their excellent customer service, professionalism, and ability to fix issues immediately. Other experiences, however, suggest that the integrity and diagnostic skills of other technicians, such as Zack, may be questionable.
- Quick Response Time: The company appears to be responsive to service requests. One customer was able to get a technician to their home the morning after calling, which is a valuable feature for people with urgent HVAC needs.
- Warranty Knowledge (Questionable): The company's staff, including office employees and a person named Jay, are mentioned as having knowledge of warranties, and at least one customer was assured their repair would be covered. However, a major issue arose when the company later reneged on this promise, citing technicalities and internal miscommunication.
- Customer Service (Mixed): The office staff, particularly Sarah, is described as friendly and helpful, even when dealing with a refund request. However, a highly critical review highlights a very negative and unprofessional experience with the owner, Oscar Carrasco, which included insults and threats.
- Local Presence: The company's location in Poteet makes it a local resource for heating and cooling needs, which is often a priority for residents who prefer to support businesses within their own community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1**Beware about the owner Oscar Carrasco, he is unprofessional and will throw insults at you.**Had an installation for a new system February of last year. Everything appeared to have gone off well. Started having issues with my outdoor compressor not turning on. I opened it and measured the capacitor and it was reading low. I messaged Jay asking if it was covered under warranty, he told me he thinks it is but is unsure and to call the office. I talked to Sarah at the office and told her what I did and if I can get a warranty claim. She assured me it was covered under warranty for labor and parts and that I would not have to pay anything. I made it very clear that I took the cover off and measured the capacitor. Sarah, even asked how I knew it was a problem with the capacitor. If it was going to cost, I would have made the repair myself, as I have an electrician background and some HVAC experience. More than enough to replace a capacitor. But, since I had the warranty and it was covered, I opted for the repair. I left the cover off the HVAC for ease, since I knew the tech would arrive. Tech arrives and says it was a low pressure switch connection and cuts and re-attaches the connector. Takes pictures and leaves. With notes that I "tampered" with the systems. They billed me and said I was not covered under warranty. After receiving the bill I called, explained the situation and was told Sarah was on lunch and they would get back to me about it. This was a Friday, and after the weekend. That following night, the compressor stopped working, again. So, I had to purchase the capacitor myself and put it on to get it working. After the weekend, I receive an updated invoice saying the warranty wasn't covered and that I would have to pay the bill. I called back and told them I wasn't going to pay it. I was ensured it was covered under the warranty and the guy didn't even fully repair the system. They immediately were telling me that they were going off the tech's words. Which makes no sense. Why would I tamper with my system if it was working correctly? All he did was re-attach a connector. After arguing with the person on the phone, they gave Oscar Carrasco the line, the owner of the company.I explained from the beginning exactly what happened and we went back and forth. Not once did I insult a single person and I stuck to the facts. He threw insults at me and was flexing that he has more money than me. He threatened to sue me, and I told him I would gladly pay more money to a lawyer fighting this than to pay his bill. He then tells me that the capacitor was never covered under warranty and that Jay knows it is not. Also, Sarah knows it isn't. Which is ridiculous, considering my whole conversation from the beginning was about a capacitor and that I didn't want to pay for a new one if I didn't have to, because it was covered under the warranty. He said he would talk to Jay and Sarah and if they said it was, he would wipe the bill clean. Which, of course, he didn't.Be careful with Endzone and know that they will try to intimidate you with lies.Edit to respond to the reply:-Jay is referred to in DOZENS of these reviews. Listed as an owner on BBB & was mentioned by name by Oscar during our call. Why lie about Jay working there?-The technician didn't show anything AND didn't perform the service I requested. I asked for a capacitor replacement. I had to purchase and install the capacitor AFTER the technician left, because it was never completed.-The wires were moved aside to test capacitor. All of this was relayed PRIOR to the call to request service.-I was called the time of my appointment telling me to acknowledge the invoice & not to worry, it was covered. It sounds like they were trying to bait and switch me for service I did not order.-Trying to deflect the actual issue of the capacitor, which they did not fix, by blaming it on wires that were moved aside to accurately measure the capacitor.-You are the one that threatened to sue me. I told you, I would gladly pay a lawyer than to pay you. Get your facts straight.
Feb 04, 2025 · Zambonie DrivorUpdate 2/2025! Now that Jay is no longer with the Endzone, I can no longer recommend their services. I’ve lost faith in the techs! Zack came out to see why our A/C fan was not working. He said he tested the compacitor for the fan and believed the fan motor is bad. The estimate seemed high, so we got a second opinion. Our second opinion tech came out and verified Zack could not have properly diagnosed the issue since the part he stated was the issue and tested did not exist in our fan. Zack intentionally lied to us. I called Endzone the next day and requested a refund for my diagnostic fee. I worked with Sarah and she was friendly and helpful. After providing proof from the second opinion tech, my refund was returned to me. However, since their tech lied to us I have now lost trust and will no longer return my services to them.We had an issue requiring us to shut off our A/C. I called that night and the next late morning Jay showed up. He fixed the issue immediately. This is the 3rd time Jay has come out and each time he’s given the best customer service!
Feb 20, 2025 · Kim WatsonTheir customer service is always top-notch—friendly, professional, and quick to respond. If you're looking for a reliable HVAC company, I highly recommend giving Endzone HVAC a try. You won't be disappointed!
Feb 13, 2025 · SadieI live in Jourdanton. I couldn't get anyone from Jourdanton or Pleasanton to come out to work on a newly installed Mini-split. (I installed it.). The unit had a water leak. Jay looked at it and knew immediately what I had done wrong. It was a subtle detail - something not in the installation manual - but he had seen it before. Took me about a minute to fix. I would never have thought that simple detail was the cause. Thanks Jay!
May 16, 2024 · Brian KeenanI have home warranty with them and can’t get in contact with anybody even after you submit an emergency service request or call their number and it goes straight to a voicemail saying it’s unavailable.
