A/C had been out for a couple days. Heat index 105° , 90 ° in house. I called 15 + HVAC companies and the earliest appointment time anybody could come was a week away. I called Barneys . He shot me straight and told me " I'll get you up and going today but it's going to be in the evening." He showed up about 7 pm which is perfectly fine as it was hot. He fixed the problem in 15 mins ( needed refrigerant ) He charged a very fair price. He stands by his word. LIFESAVER!! VERY COOL NOW!!!

If I could give this company negative stars, I would. This company was sub-contracted through my home warranty to repair a heating unit. Our heating unit went out on 1/27/25. I filed a claim with warranty company, they assigned Barney’s heating and air, and the initial appointment was scheduled for 1/29/25. Barney came out on 1/29/25 and advised we needed a new gas valve. The warranty company ordered the gas valve and had it shipped to our home. Barney returned on 2/4/25 to install the gas valve, but left without communicating to us and without our unit working. Barney then advised the contractor we needed a gas hose. The warranty company said they could not find the hose to order it, and allowed for the contractor to do so. Barney arrived on 2/17/25 to install the hose, but left again without notice and without the unit running. Come to find out, he didn’t remember what hose was needed and he tried to make the current hose work. I didn’t hear this from Barney but from the contractor. Barney returned on 2/18/25 after getting the hose and installed it. The unit still didn’t work, and when I went outside to talk with him, he said they needed an igniter and would hopefully have the unit running soon. My husband came home while they were here, and they told him they would have the unit running in about 5 minutes. We looked out the window about 20 minutes later, and Barney was gone again without any notice and our unit was running. We go outside, and there was a significant smell of gas, which resulted in my husband having to turn off the gas valve. My husband attempted to called Barney, but there was no answer. Barney later texted my back, requested text as communication instead of calling, and advised we needed a new motherboard. Barney has improperly diagnosed our unit’s problem. We are now on day 22 of being without heat in the downstairs of our house in freezing temperatures and snow. Barney has consistently been late each of the 4 times he has come to our home, and he has left each time without notice or update as to what is going on. Even though we have a home warranty, we have now paid approximately $425 for his services and he has not made the repair to date. I would not recommend this company. I’m now stuck trying to figure out another plan to get my heating unit repaired as the warranty company closed my claim based on the technician’s reports and will not reopen the claim because they consider it “resolved.”Update on 2/19/25- in response to his reply- Barney continues to lie. The van with the logo and the contact number on the website was at my house. I verified before making the review. Barney was contracted through Enpiles Janitorial Service, who was contracted through our home warranty. The review stands and is accurate despite his reply. See attached picture of the van with the same logo and same contact information that was parked in front of my home. He was at my home less than 24 hours ago.Also, after this review was posted, Barney texted us saying he would return to our home and uninstall the parts that we have already paid for. Once again, he is dishonest and verbalized he was seeking to commit a theft.
