Whole Home Comfort Introduce
When you live in Central Ohio, maintaining a comfortable home environment year-round is essential—from the intense heat of summer to the deep chill of winter. This is where a specialized contractor like **Whole Home Comfort** steps in. Operating out of Johnstown, OH, this business is not a traditional "general contractor" managing large-scale construction projects, but rather a dedicated expert in the vital field of **HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)**. For Ohio homeowners, a reliable HVAC contractor is arguably one of the most important service providers you can have on speed dial.
Whole Home Comfort is registered as an LLC and has been serving the Central Ohio area since its establishment in 2014. Under the management of Mr. Andrew K Williamson, the company focuses exclusively on the systems that control the climate and air quality inside your home. Their expertise encompasses the installation, repair, and maintenance of all major components of your heating and cooling systems, positioning them as a critical resource for residential comfort in Licking County and the wider Central Ohio region.
Choosing an HVAC contractor requires a balance of evaluating cost, technical skill, and customer follow-through. Whole Home Comfort is noted for offering competitive pricing, with some customers reporting quotes that were significantly cheaper than competitors for major installations like mini-split systems. Furthermore, their specialization in a wide array of services—from emergency furnace repair to complex ductwork—suggests a strong technical foundation. The fact that the owner, Andrew Williamson, is often noted in positive reviews, even in older feedback, speaks to a history of personalized customer interaction that many Ohio residents appreciate in a local business.
However, public customer feedback also highlights significant concerns regarding reliability and completion of work. Issues such as missed appointments and a lack of follow-up on cosmetic details and consequential problems—like proper line concealment and pest intrusion after installation—are important considerations for any prospective customer. These instances emphasize the need for local users to establish clear, detailed contracts and maintain open communication to ensure all aspects of the job, including cleanup and final presentation, are met to a satisfactory standard before final payment. This due diligence is crucial for leveraging their technical skill without incurring future hassles.

However, potential customers must proceed with awareness of past operational shortcomings. The recurring themes in customer feedback—specifically the complete failure to show up for scheduled appointments and the lack of follow-through on installation cleanup and exterior finishing—cannot be overlooked. These issues, while not affecting the core function of the system in one case, still resulted in unsightly and even pest-related problems that required further, out-of-pocket expense to correct. This suggests a potential weakness in the administrative and follow-up aspects of the business.
For the savvy Central Ohio homeowner, this means Whole Home Comfort is worth considering, but with firm operational safeguards. You should ensure any agreements are put in writing, detailing not just the installation and functionality, but also the expectation for final clean-up, line concealment, and exterior sealing. Furthermore, for time-sensitive repairs, having a backup plan or confirming their arrival time diligently is recommended based on past service disruptions. By prioritizing clear communication and demanding accountability for every step of the service, you can benefit from their excellent technical skills and advantageous pricing for keeping your Ohio home comfortable year-round.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1In June, I had a mini-split system installed on the 2nd floor of my home. The price was a couple thousand cheaper than other quotes I had received. The installer had to reschedule the initial appointment, but then completed the installation on the rescheduled date. While the mini-split system is functioning properly, the installer never returned to clean up the lines running out the back of my house. I am now left with an unsightly exterior line setup. I called the installer multiple times to inquire about when they would come back to address this, but received no response or only excuses.Additionally, I have now discovered insects entering my home through the area where the exterior lines were installed. Whatever money I initially saved on the installation will now need to be spent to have someone properly conceal the lines and address the insect issue.I will not be using this installer again. The lack of follow-through on the cleanup and the resulting problems have created more hassle and expense for me in the long run.
Oct 07, 2024 · Matt EvansCalled Whole Home Comfort to work on our furnace, which we purchased from them. Waited 2-days for service, but never showed up. Called several times and given excuses, but promised to show up that day… never happened. Went with another vendor who showed up the day we called.
Aug 22, 2024 · Doug NewmanWe have used Whole Home Comfort a few times at two different homes for everything from simple inspections to entire HVAC installation. They have always been extremely helpful, courteous, and thorough. The owner is very friendly and makes the process as painless as possible, it feels almost like I've known him for years! He's definitely they kind of guy you would be happy to sit around a fire and chat with for hours. I eagerly recommend this company to everyone I know that needs HVAC work.Fantastic company and they will always be my first call.
Aug 13, 2021 · Timothy AllenThis is an Excellent company to call when you need it done right without high pressure sales. Andy repaired my furnace when i bought my house three years ago. Called him again Yesterday and he found the issue quickly and repaired it. If you need reliable professional service these are the local folks to call on.
Jan 25, 2022 · Patrick ChristensenExcellent, excellent job! This is the guy you want to call! Andy Williamson is the owner and was also the person who came out to my condo in Hilliard on a $49 Big Deal from Angie's List to check my 15 year old A/C unit. I had scheduled another company to come out at a later date to check the furnace, but Andy went ahead and checked that for no additional fee. He was very honest in his evaluation of each unit and very willing to address some other problem areas that were found. The job took a day and a half and was done promptly and as scheduled, at my convenience. It could not have gone better! Brand name Air Ease (built by Lennox), 2 ton, SEER 14, Fed tax credit available.Description of work:Installed new A/C outside unit (2 Ton) and coil (installed on furnace). They also rebuilt the intake and out-flow plenums on the furnace for better air flow and the installation of a new filter rack with door. In addition a new programmable thermostat was installed.
