They sent a technician who not only lied to me and my wife two times each, he also installed the wrong thermostat (non carrier). The technician refused to show me how to work the new thermostat and told him that me he tested the heat to ensure it was fixed. Obviously that is impossible because the thermostat isn’t compatible. We had to file another claim with AHS they sent another company out. They discovered the installation was faulty and there was exposed wiring that could have started a fire in our walls of our home. No one at the company will answer or return my calls. If I could give zero stars I would.

An un-named company came out days earlier, but did not take the time to explore why I kept blowing fuses in the furnace. This technician did, and fixed my issue.

Feb 18, 2020 · Gregory McClungI was assigned Central Va Heating & Air through my American Home Shield warranty program. I was given their number and told to call them myself to expedite scheduling. I began calling them around 8am (when they opened) but was unable to reach them until after lunch when they finally returned my call. On the phone the lady was very professional and answered my questions, even though they may have been out of her expertise. I was upset that it was going to take 4 days to get someone to my house and that I was given a 3 hour window of when they would arrive, but this was the end of my complaint. The technician arrived 30 minutes into that 3 hour window and was very helpful and knowledgable. He wasn't able to thoroughly diagnose anything needing repair but he explained to me that was because the AHS had a stepped repair procedure of attempting the simplest fix first and if needed they would take the next step. He was very friendly, professional, and explained everything he was doing and what to look for incase this didn't resolve the issue. Overall, VERY happy with this company and would not have an issue using them again through AHS.

They continue to work on the part and made it worse and worse. This repair was through a warranty company therefore all of their repairs were deducted from the amount that I have could’ve received to replace the unit. I did a cash out with the warranty company and went with another company to replace the boiler system. Plus they never answer their phone or return phone calls. Avoid them at all cost.

Basically your screwed if you are under a warranty and they make an appointment because they will cancel 3 times before they come out and if you are graced with their presence get ready to wait for another week for them to find time in their busy schedule (probably our 4wheelin or something) to get you taken care. Welcome to Central VIRGINIA where your not important but they sure think they are! Good Riddance Warranty! I won’t be using you anymore!
