What is worth choosing
Choosing a general contractor for something as complex as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems requires a high level of trust. The customer reviews for Parks Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical offer a mix of experiences that provide valuable insights. One customer had a very positive experience with a drain cleaning service. They highlighted the company's integrity and professionalism, noting that Parks "promptly refunded us without any hassle" after an overcharge was discovered. This commitment to honesty and customer satisfaction, as well as the praise for technician Brandon, speaks volumes about the company's core values. This review shows that when things go right, they are a company that values its customers and is highly recommended.
However, another, much longer review details a complex and frustrating experience with a new HVAC installation. The customer, who had HVAC experience, had to personally check the work and found multiple issues, including air leaks and poor sealing. This customer's story highlights a series of miscommunications and a failure to complete the work as promised, requiring the customer to be persistent and proactive to get the job to a satisfactory state. This negative feedback, while detailed, reveals that the company's management was eventually responsive after the customer engaged a third party (the finance company), and that they ultimately corrected the major issues. The customer also noted that the company left them with materials to fix a remaining minor leak themselves, which is a mixed signal.
What is worth choosing about Parks Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical is their wide range of services and their potential for excellent customer service, as demonstrated by the positive review. They offer a unique convenience by being able to handle HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work. The positive review showcases their honesty and willingness to do the right thing when a mistake is made. The negative review, while difficult to read, can be seen as a cautionary tale for any major home project, emphasizing the importance of oversight. It also shows that when a customer is persistent, the company can, and will, eventually rise to the occasion to address issues. Their willingness to eventually send managers to correct a complex problem shows a capacity for problem-solving. Ultimately, for a customer with multiple needs, the convenience and potential for high-quality service make Parks Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, & Electrical a viable option, but it may be wise to be an engaged and communicative partner in the process.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I didn’t have HVAC experience, Parks would’ve gotten away with leaving me and my wife with a bad install — and we never would’ve known. I had to rip open my wall just to prove something was wrong. They installed a new Rheem system while I was at work. Only my wife was home. When I came back that evening to a sign in my yard stating 5 Star Job Done Right The First Time, I was excited to see this 5 star job. I immediately noticed cold air leaking into a sealed closet with air blowing on my head and arms — which never happened before. Parks told me it “sounded normal” and to give it the weekend.I didn’t wait. I opened the wall and found huge gaps between the plenum and air handler. I sent pictures, and they scheduled a revisit for Monday. That weekend, I sent Parks a cancellation warning and copied their finance partner. No one replied. On Monday I met the tech and told him: fix it right or take the system out. I was clear:1. Replace the return duct (they were retrofitting onto old Bryant ductwork), and2. Move the air handler off both adjacent walls so it could be sealed and maintained properly. He called his manager, got approval, said a new return duct would be fabricated in a few days, and promised to seal things in the meantime.Later that day, while I was away, the tech FaceTimed me saying everything was sealed and the return duct had been replaced. He showed tape and said there were no air leaks.I was confused because they stated it will take a few days to get return duct fabricated. As for it being against the wall, the tech stated while air handler was suspended they were able to move it and seal it properly. I took his word for it and the proof he was showing through FaceTime with him declaring there are no more leaks. But when I got home, I found a new leak — the return duct was pressed against a 2×4, making it impossible to seal correctly. I sent a second email to cancel. Again, no reply from Parks — only the finance company responded. When I called in to schedule equipment removal because they were no longer allowed in my home without me being there, I was transferred to the operations manager who told me directly, "The finance company just called us." That’s what finally got them to act I believe. He came out the next day with two other managers. He confirmed there was still air leaking and promised to:- Replace the air handler- Fabricate a new return duct- Move the unit off the walls- Reroute the main supply duct from the attic — instead of dropping straight down into the closet, it would connect to a long 90° elbow coming off the top of the air handler into the attic to improve sealing. We scheduled the work a week later. When they returned, they replaced the unit and moved it off the wall — but they did not reroute the main supply duct as promised. NO ONE followed up afterward.Later, I found another leak — this time where the plenum connects to the main duct at the back. The air was hitting a 2x4 above it so it was hard to detect unless you were actively checking for leaks all around the joints. Their techs missed it even with my wall being opened, and if they had rerouted the duct like the operations manager stated they would, this wouldn't have happened and the issue would have been resolved once and for all. Now I have to cut more drywall towards the top by the main duct and seal it myself. They did leave me with mastic tape so thats a plus i guess.Yes, the system works, looks alot better, and can now be maintained — and for that, I’m grateful. But it shouldn’t have never taken this much effort on my part to get there. There’s still one minor issue I plan to fix myself, but the experience has left me unsure how to feel as a new customer. My trust for the company has been damaged for sure. I hope Parks uses this feedback to improve. You kept emailing me asking for a review so you got it.
Jun 12, 2025 · Ronald McClintonI truly appreciate the integrity and professionalism of Parks Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical! We were recently overcharged on our bill for servicing a shower drain, and not only did they catch the error, but they also promptly refunded us without any hassle! Brandon provided excellent customer service!! It’s rare to find a company that takes responsibility and values its customers like this. Thank you for your honesty and great service! Because of this experience, we will definitely continue using them for all our electrical, cooling, and air conditioning needs. Highly recommended! :)
Aug 05, 2025 · Judi AffeldtBrian & Kyle were outstanding! After battling to get someone to come check out my thermometers, I got a visit from these two gentlemen. Very profession, very patient, understand and thorough. The stay with all the challenges the system kept throwing at them and worked through to a more than satisfactory solution. I couldn't have asked for anything more form service technicians. Thank you!
Aug 27, 2025 · Ayodele SpencerMalik W. did an outstanding job installing my new water heater. He came on time, was very professional and left my property in good clean condition. I recommend Parks Heating, Cooling Plumbing & Electrical to everyone! Pete L. guaranteed me that I would be provided with the water heater that I requested and I was also given good warranties. I am truly happy that I selected Parks after comparing them with many other businesses.
Aug 16, 2025 · Pamela CrostonThe people are wonderful. Always VERY customer oriented. Our first tech call was really screwed up though --- guy didn't show up when they said. This really left a bad taste in our mouths. Things happen, but this was way beyond late. Knowing we'd probably need some serious work done, I was concerned about reliability, so I called them to cancel. They were very apologetic and did everything to make it RIGHT. Even though I tried to cancel again, they insisted on making it right. I was suprised, so agreed. Well, I'm glad I did. The immediately dispatched another tech and he caught things that another company did not. Then Patrick came out and spent THREE HOURS with us going over everything and trying to understand what our needs are. No sales crap. He was so down-to-Earth and didn't even know what transpired earlier with the cancellation. Well, Patrick literally SAVED our business. We didn't have air conditioning in three-digit weather. Also, they were the only company with the units in stock. Then, we were told they could come out and install it the next day! They arrived 9am sharp and were done by mid afternoon. The guys were SO PROFESSIONAL and went above and beyond fixing things that the contractor who built this house should have done. Patrick even came back out during the install to make sure things went well. They completed all out warranties, handled the scheduling of the post-install inspection --- everything was DONE! We will never use anyone else. If you are having issues, call them. They are a family owned business and worth a call. THANK YOU PARKS! AWESOME JOB.
