Apr 30, 2025 · Kevin LuyendykThey basically told me I had to replace Freon but never offered to fix the leak in my HVAC as an option. The tech said the leak is small that it is not concerning, but he told me this after he already put the Freon in. Three days later, my HVAC is still having the same issues so I called another company. The other company says my Freon leaked again because the leak was never fixed. I basically threw away $$$ because JB HVAC didn't give me the option to get the leak fixed. When I told JB HVAC this, they said they would come back out and charge me again for another diagnostic fee if it wasn't Freon related and maybe charge me if it was Freon related. The fact they would charge again for an incomplete diagnosis on their end and won't give me a partial refund I asked for and now ignoring my calls and texts speaks volume on their poor customer service.Update: they've contacted me and we worked together to resolve this matter to make sure both parties are satisfied.
Aug 16, 2024 · Ada ChongJB HVAC is the absolute best! My a/c unit broke in June and my mother who was staying with me is currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. JB HVAC was extremely prompt and professional in getting my a/c unit installed as soon as possible so that my mother could be comfortable. You do not find this dedication in companies anymore and that is why I will only use and recommend JB HVAC from here on out!
Jul 07, 2017 · Kelly SinghA few years ago, James (the owner/operator of JB HVAC) replaced my central air unit after a neighbor's grill tipped over and set numerous yards on fire. Since the unit was replaced, it has needed to be recharged with coolant every year, sometimes twice a year. FYI, freon/coolant doesn't lose its potency or expire and it should never need to be replenished, unless there is a leak in your A/C system. I had no idea that coolant shouldn't need to be replenished until James' last visit, when he informed me that it would cost over $500 to pump a leak sealant into the system. The latter statement being made after he had visited the home six times prior to replenish the coolant and had never mentioned a leak. JB HVAC has come out to my home to replenish the coolant in my A/C unit a total SEVEN times in the past four years. James was aware of this leak from the beginning, because as an HVAC technician, he was aware that freon should never need to be recharged. James opted to just recharge the system every year opposed to fixing the leak, because he knew that searching for the leak would be a lot of work, and since the A/C unit was under warranty, he knew that he wouldn't be compensated for that work. Now that the A/C unit is no longer under warranty, James is interested in devising a solution to the leakage problem... convenient, right?!I have been calling this guy (James), leaving voice messages and text messages, in an attempt to force him to show some integrity and admit that he is attempting to screw me over. James hasn't returned any of my phone calls since I called him out.DO NOT use this company!
Aug 21, 2013 · Brandon G.The employees/contractors from JB HVAC are extremely unprofessional, never show up during scheduled appointment times and always have nasty attitudes. While asking them to explain what was wrong with my HVAC unit, the worker immediately jumps down my throat saying that it probably has something to do with the filter. I replace the filter every 3 months (I reside in a 1,100 sqft condo). --Mind you, they are the only ones who service the HVAC unit in the condo and it breaks EVERY summer. If you want a contractor with rude workers who do not explain the issues with your unit and can never fix something the same day then this is the company for you!
