★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1AHS assigned them to my issue with A/C leaking condensate into emergency pan. First time they came by they tried cleaning the drain line. Promised it will fix the issue. It didn't. Second time they came they put extra tape on the bottom where the water was leaking. Promised it will fix the issue. It didn't. Third time they came, they billed me $400 because AHS wouldn't approve the work, but I thought, hey maybe they will fix the issue finally, they replaced the emergency pan due to rusting, put some putty around the ducts. BUT they didn't vacuum the water from the pan before removing it, so they basically splashed it all over my attic (that's where my A/C is) The water leaked onto the drywall ceiling in my house. Then they blew up the drain line in the process, so I got condensate leaking through the ceiling. Additionally they messed up with ducts so I can feel air escaping from the ductwork where it exits the unit. And I still have an original problem of a condensate leak into an emergency pan. So I had 1 problem, now I have 3 problems and it seems like I even paid for those 2 extra problems. 1 star only for coming back quickly and fixing the drain line. Otherwise would have been no stars. I know there will something along the lines of "We are sorry for your bad experience" response, but having a company to come by 3 times and not only not to solve the problem but create 2 additional problems for the homeowner is extremely unprofessional.UPD to the owner's comment. I had another company doing the tune up because AHS said they had deadline until May 1, which I missed. I left a good review for their thorough inspection and explanations of issues, which was the primary reason I hired them. They didn't do anything because I didn't even get to request them to do anything. I didn't further work with them because they simply suggested I would be better off replacing my A/C unit with them for $20k, which I am not ready to do. I left the review purely on how they performed the evaluation of the system and explanation to me. I tend to be generous in my reviews, when companies do their job nicely. For the particular issue of leaking condensate into an emergency pan I didn't work with either company, because I figured this is something covered by my warranty. And AHS assigned Aloha to me. I didn't specifically pick your company. My reviews to other companies should be completely irrelevant to this problem. I neither have any personal issue, nor I am affiliated with anyone. Besides I left pictures attached of the mess your guys left, not someone else. The leaks at the drain line were not brought by your company at any point. There were both me and my wife at the house, and nobody was made aware. This is simply a lie. I noticed a leak only after a crew left an my ceiling started to drip water, which I attached pictures to. Even if they were brought to my attention (but they were not), why wouldn't the crew remediate the issue before leaving. I would even pay extra if needed. Instead, I have a log of calling back your company within about 30 minutes after they left regarding the leak.I wasn't planning on leaving this review even though the ceiling water damage, if the original problem was fixed. This is why I didn't leave any review for 2 days since service. I realize sometimes human error happen and I was ok with leaving it as is and paint over the stain on my ceiling and get over it. Not big deal. But after your crew finished the job I was told that any remaining leak into emergency pan is just the remaining water and it will stop once it drains. Here we are 2 days later and A/C still leaks into emergency pan, and my leak detector is submerged into the condensate. Additionally I noticed significant leak of air from ducts I didn't have before. So nothing was really fixed and additional problems were created. And this is not ok by me.
Jun 22, 2025 · Andrii DubytskyiI've been a homeowner for almost 20 years and find Aloha to be up in that category of knowledgeable professionals. Our technician, Gino, was thorough and answered all my questions. What really sets these folks apart is their willingness to get the job done right and do it well. You don't find a whole lot of people and companies who have that commitment and follow through. Another huge bonus for me was their staff scheduling and communicating. They checked all the boxes for me which prompted me to write a review. I don't do many reviews but I felt compelled to write one. Thanks, and I hope others will consider them if you're in need of an AC repair or replacement!
May 15, 2025 · M Martinez2 stars, 1 is minimum and 1 is for adjusting before I went to small claims court.Due to AC not working, AHS( American Home Shield) assigned Aloha to fix the AC. Without naming any technicians, technician #1 came and said that coil needs to be replaced and I will have few options to get it fixed. He mentioned he took some pictures to send to AHS. AHS said that they will get new coil installed but there are code violations not covered and have to pay Aloha $1910 to fix along with 10 lbs of Freon ($115 per lb not covered) but I never had AC repaired by non-licensed company. I told AHS that I do not trust Aloha and assigned some other company but no luck. I requested AHS to put it in the notes regarding Aloha on this service.Aloha send me list of items including 2 float switches, locking caps, mastic seal, secondary drain pan and 10 lbs of Freon. After trying to find out why drain pan and float switches, I was told that roof may get water and have to be DONE. Owner later gave $160 discount and offered to do it for $1750 instead of $1910.Aloha manager called couple of days later and she tried to push me to replace the AC as the coil part will take more than 23 working days to arrive. And then send me another invoice with card processing fee of $74.50 on top of original $1910. $74.50 fee is odd number for $1910 (little less than 4%). But after mentioning my communication with the owner, office manager changed it back to $1750. The coil came in within 2 days after paying $875 (50%).Not trusting Aloha, I took pictures of drain pan and floating switch before repair. After the work was done and saw that the pan and floating switch were not replaced. I sent email to Aloha to verify if pan and floating switch were changed as I was ready for small claims court. Aloha send another invoice taking out drain pan and one of the float switch. The Texas code requires ONLY 1 and why Aloha had to add another one? Is it because $10 part and 2 minutes labor will get them $147.50 without special trip. Why the technician #1 could not see good pan and floating switch and how he justified to AHS?I can not tell if locking caps were put in but do know that mastic seal was done. But why as it is not required by code? Is it again to get as much out of me as possible? How much Freon was put in? I asked the 2nd technician who had put Freon in, said he does not know as he toped it off. This is $125 per lb and supposed to put in 10 lbs and technician does not know if he put in 3 or 8 or 10 lbs. He said office looks up for the AC and calculates how much Freon it will take. I think he knew but did not know how much was charged in the invoice.I may never know how much Freon was put in and do not trust anything from Aloha. If I did not check, I would be paying $1984.50(with credit card processing). By checking on the things I could see, I paid $1447.50. Why I still think I been had :-( ?
May 20, 2025 · Faisal LatifI love the workmanship, and the passion for the work and knowledge he consumes. Unfortunately, follow-up isn't great. Per them, there is no issue, and what you are telling us does not mean anything. Horrible! I am sure they will respond here telling half story, that per their records this job is finish and there is no issue. But what the office manager is failing to recognize is that I called them back, when tech came, he acknowledged the issue and left stating he will go back and research and we warranty our work if it is related to the same issue. I contact them back in August and I spoke to same office manager, now they are getting angry because I am requesting them to honor their word that they gave and the response is, if our tech misspoke and that is on him and not the company and hang the phone. Very unusual, they are good people, the tech was fantastic
