Hornet’s Heating and Cooling replaced and installed a new outside unit 7 years ago and replaced the evaporator coils on the unit in my attic. This weekend my ac stopped working and I had another HVAC company come out to diagnosis. I provided paperwork from Hornets that I have a 10 year manufacturing warranty and a 5 year warranty on certain parts. After their diagnosis, they informed me the evaporator coils were damaged and that old parts were used. The outside unit was a 2018 model, but the parts were from 2014. Not only were old parts used, Hornets did not register the parts, therefore voiding the warranty, as well as the installation of the outside unit was of poor work. Now I'm having to pay another HVAC company to replace a unit that typically should have a usefulness of at least 10 years. I would give them 0 stars, but I have to give 1 in order to post this review.

Hornet’s Heating and Cooling installed out furnace 7 years ago. They used old parts with our new furnace, left the old unit in our attic and refused to remove in when we asked about it, and they’ve failed to return our phone calls over the last 2 years when we’ve had ongoing issues with our furnace. Two years ago my little one was born. He was 8 days old, our house temp was 55 degrees, we called Hornet’s Heating and Cooling, left messages, and they never returned our calls. Last weekend we had another HVAC come to our house to look into our heating issues. The other company came and informed us old parts were used when installing our new furnace and the lack of quality work of the installation. We haven’t had any heating issues since the other HVAC came out last weekend. I would highly recommend staying away from Hornet’s Heating and Cooling. They're often recommended because their pricing is slightly lower than other companies, but now I'm seeing why that is. The quality of the work and professionalism is lacking. I would highly recommend staying away from Hornet's Heating and Cooling.

Ghosted by Drew-Hornet HVAC.Drew from Hornet HVA in Concord, NC came to install a new Hvac system in our home in April of this year. When he left he told us, and we thought we had a good unit we could depend on. Three days after he installed the unit, it wasn't cooling properly. He said his guys didn't fill the unit with coolant when it was installed and he topped it off. We only used the ac sporadically until the week of June 12th. Four days after we started using the unit daily, a water leak developed that damaged the sheetrock and the floor below. Thank God it was only a storage closet. I called Drew and asked him to come out and check it. He said he would be out that afternoon. After waiting until 8 pm, I called back and he wouldn't answer my call. I also sent him a text with no response. We had to call a plumber and another hvac company to fix the problems. The new hvac company said it was leaking coolant and oil. He said if Drew had done the proper diagnostic upon installation, he would have found the unit was DAMAGED. It cost us another 3000 dollars to correct the problem. I didn't see the post from a year ago that had the same experience until today. After he gets your money, don't expect to hear from him again. His failure becomes your problem, not his. Please DO NOT allow Drew to do any installation work at your home. I have no idea how he can have a 4-star rating when this has happened to so many customers.

Drew was punctual and professional. Responded right away and delivered. I was recommended by a co worker where in her community about 80% off the homes use Drew. I will recommend him as well to anyone I know needing AC work. He replaced a 2 ton unit and was $800 before someone who told me there price couldn’t be beat. He even installed the same day where the other company said they were doing me a favor and squeezing me in 3 days later.

Drew and his team were recommended to me after I had been fighting with my warranty people for over two weeks without AC. Drew came out to my house within an hour after i contacted him! The first thing he said was regardless of anything I’m going to get you cool now! He came out on a Thursday and put refrigerant in my AC that lasted until he could come back out and replace the system on Saturday. The service was impeccable! On time and very efficient! I would recommend them to anyone! Great team, great attitude and all round great experience given the situation!
