Our A/C unit went out at the worst time in this heat. They were quick on responding and set up time to replace it. They guys were awesome and worked all day. Hirt and Elco are the best!

Update: 11/15/2024. Scott called me after I wrote the original review and told me that he understood the frustration and wanted to make it right. I had a different company come out and try to help. They couldn't order parts so I called Scott and he got the parts I needed and was able to come out the next day and get the furnace fixed. Scott even offered to pay the bill for the other company I called to help make it right. I will continue to do business with Hirt & Ellco.Original Review: 11/11/2024 (2-Star)I’m not big on leaving negative reviews about local companies unless it is really warranted. Hirt and Ellco has left me hanging 3 times now. A couple years ago I called to get an estimate on a new furnace and air conditioner. They came out and measured but several weeks went by and I never received the estimate from them. I called on it and was told they would get back with me but never did. That was the first. The second was this past spring I called to get setup on an annual preventive maintenance plan for HVAC. They told me they put me on the schedule. One time it wouldn’t work for me and they told me they would call me back. I still have yet to receive that call. The third time is the last straw for me. I called because my furnace won’t light. I called on 11/9/24. Scott said he could get me on the schedule for 11/11/24 in the afternoon. I told him I wouldn’t be able to make it work until after 4:00 pm due to job constraints. He said that wouldn’t be a problem. The scheduling department called me the morning of 11/11 to confirm the appointment. I confirmed the appointment with them. They never showed up. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is I have had good luck with the plumbing side of the business. I have nothing but praise for the plumbers. But forget doing any residential HVAC work with them. It’s not worth the headache.
