When your AC goes out in the hottest part of July, you sort of don't care who does it as long as it gets fixed.Carter was a second opinion based on a friend's recommendation. I'm glad we called them. They gave us honest assessment, two system options and in the end a good quote, which ended up cheaper than the first call.Our home made it a difficult install in the crawl space but we never heard the first complaint from the crew. Everyone was very professional and they were on time both days they were here. Thanks, Carter Heating & Cooling! Great job!

Like any normal scenario, heating went out, so we called a loca business to assist.. when I reached out, they were extremely eager to help. The technician came fast and was already diagnosing the issue, or so he thought. My employee said she could feel the heat, and then the next thing you know, he comes from the back saying it's something else. He said he had to leave, get the part, and come back.. a few days went by, and finally, they returned. Continue to work on it for a few hours, then ripped out another part the size of my head that also had to be replaced... a few days went by, and I reached out to the main office and explained that I was never given a quote and the technician never truly explained what had happened. Keep in mind this is also an old unit, so their repeated excuse was always that it was because it was old. Never could they take responsibility for the damage they might have caused because they didn't know how to resolve the issue without breaking something in the process. So when I expressed that I needed to know more info before they went further, I think they were under the impression that I wasn't going to pay them. But in reality, I was just needing more explanation as to why it's taking forever.. the owner finally called me and explained the entire situation, and i just simply stated "sorry it just felt like a bad mechanic scenario" and really need to make sure after everything that the landlord wants to proceed with the work. He agreed, and I told him I would call him back... before I could text him the good news and the Green light to proceed, he responded and stated he had already returned to my store and ripped out all the work he and his apprentice had done, the Owner Carter said we can figure it out on our own.. on top of that, it was roughly going to cost $1200. I'm not an expert on business, etc, but that slightly hostil response and outrageous hike in pricess raises so many red flags... I'm kinda glad, It feels more like I dodged a bullet with this company. When i called someone else, a local tech that someone recommended to me. He arrived, and he put everything back together and only charged me $376.00. He immediately stated that everything that was taken apart was perfect working condition... so i think its safe to say Carters is definitely not recommended..

I had a scheduled appt from 7-9 am. I was available during that time, men finally arrived at 10:40 after I texted that I was leaving for an appt. They took air conditioner apart and I had to leave. I got no word that they did not continue their work. Fast forward a week and 1/2, air conditioner stops working. I call again, speak to the owner. I informed him that I wasn’t sure what team had found previously since I had to leave (because they were 2-4 hrs late) the owner rudely said he though that I needed to find someone else and hung up. Needless to say, I will not be using this company again and will let everyone I know to not use them as well.
