I normally don’t leave reviews, but I felt the need to share my experience. I hired Arctic Air for an AC issue and was really disappointed. The tech showed up late without any notice and seemed rushed the entire time. He barely explained what the problem was, gave me a quote that felt way too high, and when I asked questions, I got vague answers. After the service, the issue wasn’t fully resolved and I had to call another company to fix what they missed. Definitely not the level of professionalism I expected.

I called them for a second opinion, asked how much their Service Fee would be, was told there wasn’t one. Explained why I needed a second opinion. However, I should have asked how much their Labor Fees were should they find the same part or parts needed to be replaced. Because their labor fee to replace a capacitor was $336. My parts are under warranty, but I feel their labor fees are extremely high. It would have been nice to have known that BEFORE they came out.Dustin, the tech was very nice. He showed me the part, explained why it needed to be replaced. I asked about the 2nd part the other company wanted to replace? He said it was just fine and acting like it should when all power is disconnected.I obviously agreed to the replacement of the capacitor but I did state, the labor fees were extremely high.They have a maintenance program as well $265 annually. which you can make in a payment plan. but again if something needs to be fixed / replaced the labor is only 10% off….. that’s not a big savings.Carrier Authorized Dealer, have great reviews, do have nice people (that I have interacted with) but does that justify the inflated costs?Today I am thankful for Dustin and his knowledge and his explanations.

My wife and I signed up for a maintenance plan on the spot. Arctic Air is a small local company that seems to care about their customers.
