If there was such a thing as no star, that is absolutely what I would give this company! With me working so much it’s hard for me to lead projects at home, but with my husband having Multiple Sclerosis and not knowing what to ask in my absence and having a company like this one come out and take advantage of you is the worst experience a customer should ever have to experience. This company installed for our builder and honestly over the last 2 years I have seen the have to return to just about every property in our subdivision. I honestly do not think that is any fault of my builder and I do plan to discuss with him. This company is just one of the worst that I have ever worked with as far as integrity, customer service, skill, and care. On last year I called this company out 2xs. The first time within 6 to 7 months of closing on our property because there was a weird smell coming from our HVAC system while running. The company came out and stated that the smell was caused by dirty sock syndrome…never heard of it. No solution was offered, they said system usually runs its course and it would go away. At 12 month 1 day after closing my downstairs unit air went out. I was told when I called that we were just outside of our warranty and there would be a fee to come out. I asked to speak to a manager, he was very rude when I asked what if the air was going out when we called you all out the first time but your technician failed to catch it. He said his technicians would never do that. Something did not feel right with this company then, so I tried reaching out to other companies. Everyone I spoke with said that they would not come out because of they touched my unit it could void warranties I had. I called back to this company thinking I had no choice. Worst decision ever! They came out and said my could was leaking and needed replacing and they would cover cost of new coil through warranty and I would have to pay labor and freon.My husband did not know that our family was taken advantage of until we had to call another company to help because I refused to make the same mistake twice. When the guys did the work that was the only time it dawned on him. He told me that they did not do any of this stuff and claimed they did the same things. I worked that day and even though I know how much damage the MS did cognitively sometimes, it costs me big trying to scale down my stress and anxiety by letting him take care of an issue.This company saw a vulnerable family of 6 and took full advantage. They never replaced our entire coil. Almost exactly a year later the system had a similar smell, another company comes out and confirms a leak in our coil and shows us a video of it. They explained that the smell was the Freon leaking out of our coil in multiple locations. We saw them take a brand new coil in and bring the old one out. It took the company with integrity 7 + days to get the new parts in to make the repairs correctly. It took this company 24 hrs to come up with some part and make a repair that did not hold up it should’ve been a red flag when they were not willing to provide another full year warranty since they were claiming to replace the part. This company is the worse and I wanted to be detailed to help you see the extent and the cost to my family to have to pay for a service multiple times that should have been properly done the 1st time. They did not care!

I have had my home for three years, built in 2021, and this company installed my HVAC system. Unfortunately, I’ve had nothing but ongoing issues since then. The HVAC system first broke down in September 2021, and since then, it’s been one problem after another. The system has broken down repeatedly—May 2022, October 2022, spring 2023, May 2024, and now, my heating is out again. Each time I’ve had to call the company, they come out, charge me $150 per visit, and yet the problem is never truly fixed. After spending hundreds, I could have taken that money and gave it to another company but again I have a warranty on the HVAC. I am beyond frustrated, especially since this is my first home and the HVAC system isn’t even four years old! They have been out numerous times, and despite their efforts, the issue keeps recurring. I just want my HVAC fixed properly, once and for all. I don’t think it’s fair to keep paying for temporary fixes when the system should be working without constant breakdowns. I’m tired of dealing with this ongoing headache and feel disappointed with the quality of the service provided.I will give an updated review once the problem gets situated.

My husband already wrote a review on here, but I just wanted to share more since he got a strange response asking for him to contact them (he had already done that prior to the review).We were told by this company that they could properly hook up our wood boiler that heats our home, and we spent thousands of dollars (right before Christmas) allowing them to do so. With this method of heating a home, your electric bill should be nearly nonexistent. After they got it running, we got a very high electric bill. We looked back at the day-to-day usage on Entergy, and it was extremely high after they worked on the machine when it should have been nearly nothing. When my husband relayed this info, we were told to just wait until the next bill (which was projected on Entergy to be *quadruple* our prior bills). Nick also noticed that no lines were hot and heat pumps kept blowing out, so it was clear it wasn’t functioning properly. Since we knew the snow storm was coming in a few days, we desperately got an expert on our specific machine to drive here from hours away to look at it. He came back the next day and fixed it for *less* money, not needing any of the parts A&H installed and charged us for, and our electric costs even during the freezing cold snow storm were nearly nothing (amazing!), showing that he had done it correctly.The most frustrating thing about this experience is the lack of humility from Air & Heat to own up to a mistake and try to make it up to the client. Mistakes happen. We’re all human, and no one knows how to do everything perfectly. I think a partial refund would have been completely warranted here for the sake of company integrity, but my husband just asked for money to replace the heat pumps that had blown or for them to take some parts back that they could refund us for and potentially use somewhere else. They only seem to maintain that no one at the company could ever make a mistake (and that you aren’t allowed to get a second look at their work?) which is really strange to me. For the sake of a company’s integrity/reputation, meeting a client halfway and trying to make things right just seems like the right thing to do. Or at the very least own up to the fact that it wasn’t working properly instead of acting like we’re crazy. This has been super frustrating and costly for our family, and I just wouldn’t want anyone else to walk through the same thing. I really love small local businesses and don’t like leaving bad reviews, but this has just been really disheartening. They have our contact info and if they prove me wrong, I’ll be more than happy to revise this.

I had these guys work on my wood boiler and was in a worse place afterwards. They didn’t check their work after finishing. They didn’t suck air out of the lines, so this caused my pumps to burn up. I called them when I realized there was an issue and was told to wait a month. I tried to just get reimbursed for pumps that I had to replace due to their negligence and was told that this was not their issue. There is a lot more that I could write that frustrated me about trusting these guys but just do yourself a favor and find someone else especially if you have a wood boiler.
