Air Care Today Introduce
For Texans, a reliable and responsive general contractor, particularly one specializing in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), is a critical part of maintaining a comfortable home. The intense summer heat and unpredictable winter weather put our home systems to the test, making the choice of a service provider a very important decision. In San Marcos, TX, Air Care Today is a business that serves the local community with a range of HVAC services. This article is designed to provide local users with a factual and informative look at this general contractor, based on publicly available information and customer feedback. We will cover their location, the services they are known to provide, and the customer experiences that shape their reputation, all to help you make an informed decision for your home’s needs.
The demand for quality HVAC service in Texas is high, and a business's ability to meet that demand with professionalism and consistency is key to its success. For Air Care Today, a significant part of their business revolves around the installation and ongoing maintenance of HVAC systems. Over the years, they have installed many systems for local homeowners, and their work, at times, has been met with mixed feedback. While some customers have been satisfied with the initial products installed, there have been documented challenges with follow-up service and communication. This can be a point of frustration for any homeowner, especially when dealing with a system that is still under warranty or requires immediate attention. A general contractor’s value is often measured not just by the quality of their initial work, but by their long-term commitment to customer support, which includes being accessible and responsive to ongoing issues.
Navigating these types of situations requires a clear understanding of the company's operational practices. It is a common desire for Texans to find a provider they can trust for the long haul, knowing that the company will stand behind its work. The importance of a reliable contact person or an effective dispatch system cannot be overstated. When a customer is in need of a service, particularly on a system they have invested a significant amount of money in, clear and consistent communication is the cornerstone of good business. This is why many Texans choose to partner with local businesses that have a solid reputation for both their technical skills and their customer service ethics.
Air Care Today is located at 4730 TX-123 suite f, San Marcos, TX 78666, USA. This location places the business squarely within the San Marcos community, providing them with accessibility to a broad range of residential and commercial customers in the area. A local address is often seen as a significant advantage for a general contractor, as it can imply quicker response times and a deeper understanding of local building codes and climate-related challenges. San Marcos is a growing city, and having a local service provider can be very beneficial for residents. The location on TX-123 makes their office accessible for those who need to visit in person, although most customer interactions are typically handled through phone calls and on-site visits.
The accessibility of a company, however, is a two-way street. While a local address can mean a convenient physical location, the ability of a customer to actually reach and communicate with the company is what truly defines accessibility in a service-oriented business. For a Texan with a malfunctioning HVAC unit, knowing that a service provider is nearby is reassuring, but that reassurance is contingent on the company’s ability to schedule a technician and follow through on their commitments. The effectiveness of a company’s communication channels, from the initial call to the final follow-up, is often a more critical measure of accessibility than its physical address alone.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I purchased the system four years ago and it has been quite good, however I'm currently having an issue with the thermostat connecting to the unit. It is still under warrenty. I called every day for a week and a half. There is an answering service that informs me they will send my message on, but have not received a phone call. It is crazy to have spent so much money to not even receive a return call to help at least know who to contact next regarding the issue.
Jun 21, 2024 · katja KallenbergerThe initial install years ago was not appropriate for a propane connection. The company worked with me to fix the issue, but wanted to charge me multiple times to come out to my place to resolve the improper installation and then the subsequent results of that [expletive] installation.I imagine everyone on that team has been replaced, but the company still does not do well for me.I called a few months ago for servicing. The person scheduled me, but told me dispatch would call to confirm the schedule. It never happened. I called again today for the same thing to happen. I ended the call because I was told that they did not have a direct number or a way to transfer me to dispatch.I gave this company many tries, but it is time to pick another provider. My only hope is that their past employees did not end up in the next company I call.If you have a child, make them go to school for HVAC or plumbing work. Then, you will have someone in the family to help you instead.
May 22, 2024 · SG OMENI bought 3 new carrier units from AirCare. Had good service for years, even had a service contract. And for no reason I can put my finger on, my calls to dispatch are not returned and my warranty no longer of use. I can’t get a hold of the company and have been trying for weeks now.
Apr 29, 2024 · Brian SchmahlWorked with Billy who was phenomenal throughout the entire sales process. Scheduling was efficient and installers were on time and productive. The 3 stars is because we are one year and 11 days post-install and we are already having issues. The temperature is set for 75 but will not cool to that point and we've been living in 81 degrees inside the house in August, in Texas. When I called to have someone come out to take a look the representative was courteous and offered for someone to be here in a few days. However, we are expected to pay the $80 diagnostic fee because we are past our 1-year labor warranty by 11 days...which doesn't feel right. There was no flexibility or leniency, but told we could shop around if we felt we could receive a better deal elsewhere or someone who could come out sooner. My issue is paying for an entirely brand new system with a 1-year labor warranty/10-year parts warranty, and then conveniently 1 year and 11 days it goes out, in summer in Texas, and the customer service goes out the window.UPDATE: Many thanks to you Von for responding so quickly. Your dispatch did call and was very pleasant to work with. They waived the diagnostic fee as you mentioned. I sincerely appreciate the care and concern you've shown for your customers. We look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.
Aug 12, 2019 · Kelly TeneyuqueDescription of Complaint: Air Care Today has stolen my AC Compressor. The unit is still under warranty and I called numerous times starting in Oct 2022 for a code error. They finally responded and came out to check the unit. During the unit check they blew one of the compressors and left with my unit completely disabled. I had to call numerous times to get them back out to enable the unit so I could at least have emergency heat and air circulation. When they came out to re-enable the unit, they removed the blown compressor. I called numerous times and they kept saying it was on order. I never heard from them until I was finally able to reach them in mid Dec. They told me that apparently my replacement compressor was installed in someone else's unit and they would have to reorder. They have never attempted to reach me since then. I called many times never able to talk to anyone and I left messages, but they never returned my calls. I drove to their physical location at 4730 N SH 123 in San Marcus, but they had abandoned the place and personnel at the neighboring location told me they had packed up and moved to another location several months before. I recently received a text message saying they had updated their phone numbers, so I called and was told they would check on it, never a word back. If they know it is me calling, they do not answer the call and they do not return the call, but if I call from a different number and give a different name, they answer, but do not resolve the issue. They are deliberately avoiding me and I cannot get a warranty replacement for my compressor from anyone else because they took the old one.
