I have an installed HVAC system by this company and due to medical issues I am unable to access the crawl space to change out the filter. They have always changed out the filter for me for free as long as I purchase the filter materials. However the last few times dealing with this company has been absolutely horrible. On 2 separate occasions I have had to call the office because an outrageous bill was sent to me listing services that I did not request and were not performed. Mind you the company is less than 7 mins from my home, and it only takes the worker approximately 9 mins at most to change out the filter as I am here at home while they are doing it. The first bill I received was for $140 worth of charges of which they apologized saying I should have never been charged anything.The latest bill was for $91 of which I called over there explaining to the gentleman who answered the phone and was extremely rude and condescending saying, “ we had to come out there didn't we? “I advised him if he looked at the times they have come out they have always done this for free being that they installed the system, and as long as I provided the filter. Im not sure if the gentleman at the office was new or just didn’t feel like looking up the information but again he was extremely rude. I checked with 2 other local companies of which one is in downtown Richmond and they even advised if its a unit their company sold and installed that is typically something they will work into their schedule and just change while in route to another location.I was actually going to see about having Adams install a new HVAC in the future but after these last few instances they have lost my trust and will now lose my business. I will be posting this also on other sites to make sure customers are aware of how this company attempts to charge for additional services that were not completed or asked for.

Adams installed a split-system heat pump in our sun room. We got an oversized unit on their recommendation. Had a heating problem which they came right out and found nothing wrong. I supplemented with a space heater. Recently the unit stopped cooling. For over six weeks they promised to come out on certain days during a particular time frame and never called or showed up. We were chained to the house waiting for their call but nothing. Finally called another who found a small leak in a line connection. Seems to work for now.

Our heat pump had gone out and I called about six companies for quotes for a new system. My father recommended Adams as they had installed his unit about ten years earlier. Adams came out and gave me a quote that was better than all the rest for a high quality American Standard system. We decided to go with them and the installation went smoothly. The techs started on time and had the complete unit installed in less than six hours. Everything looks and runs great. I like the fact that they are family run and Mr. Adams was patient and answered all of my questions and concerns. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them to others.

Our AC broke the night before we were supposed to go to the hospital to have our 3rd baby so I called in the morning on the way to the hospital and they were able to come out that day and fix everything while I was giving birth so we got to go back home to a nice comfortable cool home with the new baby! Amazing customer service, and very fast and reliable, we will never call anyone else for any heating or AC issues in the future!

From my first call, to completing installation, they were so patient and knowledgeable in explaining exactly what I needed. I had actually requested an estimate on entirely new system and these guys were honest and explained my furnace was still in good shape that I only needed an AC unit. They quickly got the new unit installed and my home is once again cool and comfortable. I can’t rave enough about their work and customer service. My AC is working phenomenally and it’s so resoundingly quiet compared to my old unit. Wonderful quick estimate, installation process and amazing responsive customer service! I couldn’t have asked for better experience.
