I called Spencer, on 5/20/25, and requested help due to an error code appearing on my AprilAire 8140 ventilation system that's connected to my Carrier Unit. Spencer's Technician did not care about the error code appearing on the LCD of the Controller, in the atti,c and instead stated that I needed 2 lbs of more refrigerant in the condenser unit outside the home. The Technician gaslighted me that I was misreading the "E2" error code on the AprilAire Controller LCD screen. See the attached image. He insisted that it showed "23" and not "E2". He charged me $467 and left. I looked up "E2" for AprilAire 8140 and discovered the manufacturer manual AND a video discussing the "E2" error code. I called Spencer's number, reached Rafeal, and explained to him that the HVAC system problem was NOT resolved. I still had the SAME problem as I had BEFORE Spencer came and charged me $467. Rafeal assured me that a Spencer Supervisor would return my call in a few hours. I waited two hours. I called Spencer again and Henry reassured me that a Supervisor will call me in the morning on 5/21/25. When I did not receive a call from Spencer, I called again. Christi rudely passed my call as I was speaking to Tammy who said that Spencer Management would review what happened and call me back. Five hours go by, my problem is NOT RESOLVED, Spencer did NOT offer to refund me the $467 nor send a qualified Technician to my home to fix the problem. I called to find out why Spencer is not offering to refund me nor resolve the issue. Christi said that Tammy went to lunch and when she can, she will call me back.I am SHOCKED at the LACK of INTEGRITY and Workmanship. I do NOT KNOW why Spencer's Technician added more refrigerant and gaslighted me about the AprilAire 810 Controller Error Code on appearing on the LCD. Too much refrigerant line pressure can damage my condenser. It's only 4.5 years old. I am ANGRY! Not only was the "Service" TERRIBLE, but the Technician MAY have damaged my condenser AND abandoned me with "E2" Controller Error Code and WAY TOO MUCH HUMIDITY in the home. I had to buy a dehumidifier to address it and call around to find an HVAC Repair Service AGAIN and START ALL OVER while I am out $467 due to Spencer. THAT IS HIDEOUS AND UNETHICAL!!!!

Quick and efficient service and issue was fixed without attempt to "upsell" more work! Ray was courteous and friendly but professional. Blew out a blocked line and got me back to dry and cool house!! Was here and gone within 3 1/2 hours of my call.👍🏻 Very pleased with Spencer!

Mark did a great job. He was on time and called 10 minutes before he arrived, and Spencer Air also emailed me a confirmation for the service today. Once he was here, he serviced our air conditioner. Very professional and polite.

Mark called 30 minutes before arrival , gave me time to get my pets put up. He cleared the drain line and showed and explained to me why the line was getting clogged. Will definitely use Spencer again for our ac needs and refer them to anyone who may need ac repairs. Good job! Very professional and on time. Thanks Spencer and thank you Mark!
