Sears Heating and Air Conditioning Introduce
In the expansive and diverse home services market of Charlotte, North Carolina, homeowners often seek a single, reliable provider to handle multiple projects. Sears Heating and Air Conditioning presents itself as one such multifaceted general contractor, offering a broad range of services that extend far beyond its name. While the company's name suggests a specialization in climate control, its offerings span numerous home improvement categories, including roofing, remodeling, and window installation. This comprehensive approach is designed to provide a convenient, one-stop solution for clients who want to streamline their home renovation or repair projects. From a new heating system to a full kitchen remodel, the company aims to be a single point of contact for a variety of needs. This wide scope of work, combined with the historical name recognition of Sears, positions them as a notable player in the Charlotte home services landscape, catering to both emergency repairs and long-term upgrade projects. They are a company that seeks to handle a home's entire service needs, providing convenience and a potentially unified approach to a property's various projects.
The company's service offerings are extensive, covering everything from minor appliance repairs to major home renovations. As an HVAC contractor, they handle routine A/C system maintenance, repair, and installation, as well as heating system services. Their capabilities also include a significant presence in home remodeling, as they act as a bathroom and kitchen remodeler. They can tackle large-scale projects, helping homeowners with a complete overhaul of these critical spaces. Furthermore, they are listed as a roofing contractor, a siding contractor, and a window installation service, which are all essential services for maintaining a home's exterior integrity and energy efficiency. The inclusion of wood floor installation and a variety of appliance repairs, from washers and dryers to refrigerators and stoves, rounds out their offerings. This broad and varied skill set demonstrates a commitment to being a comprehensive home solutions provider. They offer onsite services and are equipped to handle a wide range of repair needs for different systems and appliances within a household. This versatility is a key feature, as it allows customers to rely on a single entity for multiple projects, potentially simplifying the process of managing home improvements and repairs.
Sears Heating and Air Conditioning is based at 8301 Arrowridge Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28273, USA. This location places them within the Charlotte metropolitan area, providing a central base from which to serve clients throughout the region. The accessibility of their local office is a key factor in their ability to provide on-site services. Their presence in the community allows for a local point of contact, which can be important for scheduling appointments and addressing concerns. While some reviews mention long travel times for technicians to locations outside of Charlotte, the company’s physical address demonstrates its commitment to serving the North Carolina region. Their ability to manage projects, both large and small, from this central hub allows them to coordinate multiple teams and services, ensuring that even complex jobs can be handled efficiently. In a bustling city like Charlotte, having a contractor with a physical, local presence can be a reassuring factor for homeowners looking for a reliable and accessible service provider.
While the provided information and public data suggest a wide range of services, customer experiences with large, national-brand service providers can be inconsistent. The reviews provided highlight some serious concerns regarding project timelines, customer service, and communication. A customer mentioned a significant delay in a heating installation, poor communication, and feeling like a "number" rather than a valued client. Another review cited issues with unit delivery and a lack of responsiveness from a remote office. These experiences underscore the challenges that can arise with large-scale operations. However, it's also true that many customers have positive experiences, particularly with specific technicians or smaller, individual service calls. As a large company, Sears has a vast network and is often able to offer a wide array of services that smaller, independent businesses might not be able to provide. These include the ability to handle a variety of appliance repairs and major home improvement projects like kitchen and bath remodels. The convenience of having one company handle multiple types of jobs can be a major selling point for clients who want to avoid the hassle of hiring different contractors for each project. The company's brand recognition is also a factor, as it may provide a sense of security for some customers despite the negative feedback. It's a trade-off: a broad range of services and brand recognition versus the potential for inconsistent service and communication challenges.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our experience with Sears was not good. Our sales person was not trained to work with Sears. The contract said the heater would be installed in approximately 2-3 weeks; the reality of that was 2 1/2 months. The heater is loud. The customer service is poor. It took 8 weeks just to get a copy of the contract that we signed on a tablet. Had to pay up front or no deal. That was a mistake! In the multiple attempts it took to get a copy of the contract the customer service rep asked why I was calling her location. Well, IDK, except that was the only number I had! Told me she would only the send the contract as a favor to the Charlotte location. Was told by one of the service techs, "if you knew how far we had to come, you would have made us breakfast". If Sears is going to work outside the Charlotte area, they should put their workers in hotels so they have enough time to do the work and not resent the long drive. So much more and so little room to write it. I would not recommend Sears. I was a number to them and that number had a $ sign in front of it. Find a smaller, local company.
Nov 28, 2017 · Marian GarrettThe initial unit was sent to the wrong place; hence, the unit was not install on the date scheduled. I understand that unforeseen things happen. But I do have an issue with the fact that Ryan from that Greenville, SC office did not bother to answer our calls to inquire about the status our AC unit. We had to call several different people within the Sears organization to find out what was going on with our AC unit. We were very surprised how Sears handled this situation given our very good past experience with Sears. On top of all that they didn't shipped the thermostat that we had bought.
Jun 13, 2018 · Elizabeth De AnguloWorst experience go a furnace put in it didn't work for almost 3 weeks they hade someone come out twice to try and fix it but couldn't and they only came because I was calling no stop especially because it started to blow cold air continously after they worked on it which made it colder in the house then outside. They finally realized the had the wrong part and ordered it and now works. I also was suppose to have my back roof done after them taking pictures and going over it they said they could do my roof only to change their minds a week later but not inform me I had to call to see why it was taking so long that when I was told they couldn't do it and a sales person was suppose to call me and that they would call later. No one ever called me I have to keep calling and I finally did get a person that could help me and I'm still waiting on my refund. No I didn't do these things separate I sign paper work for them to do at the same time I would never punish my self by trusting them twice.
Jan 05, 2019 · Tabitha BaileyReplaced 13 old metal framed sliding windows with new Windcore sliding windows. Fantastic product, great fit, and tight seal. In addition to the new windows, the very best part of the project was the installation team! Kevin and his crew were the best. Highly recommend these folks for your next window replacement project.
May 29, 2018 · Ed ChaseI rate this a zero!!! I called three times to find out the cost of a replacement window. (I already have Sears Windows) I spoke to someone who answered the phone. They took a message from me for another person there in the office to call me. No one ever returned my phone call. Ever! No wonder Sears is having financial problems!!!
