When considering an HVAC service provider, it is important to look at the overall customer experience. Based on available information, there have been instances of a disconnect in communication and service reliability. One customer review noted multiple failed attempts to schedule a service visit, stating, "never heard back" after an initial call and that a promised visit for the next day never occurred. The review also highlighted a lack of communication from the company about being "busy." Another customer recounted a similar experience, detailing a long wait for a callback and a temporary fix that was not followed up with a permanent solution. The review stated, "I never received a callback" for a scheduled pump replacement and that the issue persisted, leading to continued problems. These experiences suggest that while the company may aim to provide services, consistency in communication and follow-up may be a concern. The reviews emphasize the importance of professional service and reliability for homeowners.

For customers with urgent needs, such as a lack of heat or air conditioning, the ability to get a quick response and reliable service is critical. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Called mountain air to address my A/C unit, not working, the lady said she would give the message to Tom, never heard back, called again later that day asking if they could come out to look at it, they said they we will be in the area tomorrow, and they will come out….great, however tomorrow came and no visit, no call…. nothing, called the next day asking why they didn’t come out, she said we were busy, that day, I quess they don’t have phones, e-mail , messaging, called again ( I wanted to use mountain air because they installed the unit when I bought the house ),said they could come out, next week, I said can you come any sooner my wife has heart issues and need the AC, I told them I’ll see if I can get someone sooner, she said ok, and if you find someone, let’s us know…..really…. Called Wilson AC were out the next day, addressed the issue, ordered the parts…now that’s service…don’t waste your time or money on mountain air.
Jul 08, 2025 · martin velasHorrible customer service. The pan under my AC unit in the basement overflowed last fall, and my thermostat shut down. It had started to get very chilly in the mornings, and we had no heat. After numerous calls and leaving messages I finally got a call back and a service man came. He emptied my drain pan using a cup to scoop the water into a pail. He told me that the pump was bad and that I would get a call back to schedule replacement of the pump. He basically put a bandaid on the problem. I never received a callback and the pan is now overflowing again and there is water in my basement. I have now placed three calls with no response from the company. I would never recommend their service to anyone.
Jun 06, 2025 · Twister XIIf I could give these people less than one star, I would. We waited almost a full 2 months for someone to come out and take a look at our unit, because we had no heat. After waiting for so long for someone to come out, a guy finally shows up unannounced at our house, does not come to the door to let us know he is there, and then proceeds to take some type of metal stuck and bang it up against our unit. He left after that, didn't come to knock on the door to even say what was wrong. However, when we called the company, after two tries they finally decided to pickup again, the guy had reported that by hitting our ac unit, he figured we were just out of gas. ( He NEVER walked over to the unit and even looked at the gauge. Just banged some metal against our unit.) I ended up calling Black Bear Heating and Air, and they came out to replace our unit because it was bad, we were never out of gas. Come to find out, after us asking around, the person who came to our house was the owner! If this is what the owner does, I'd hate to see how they've trained their people to go out and do! Worst experience ever! Do NOT use these people! They will lie to you and try and take your money!!
Dec 06, 2024 · David WrightOur HVAC unit went down. I called MA for an emergency service. Despite being booked up, the technician squeezed us in his schedule, came earlier than expected and got the unit fixed and going in less than 1/2 hour. Efficient and friendly service.
Jul 10, 2024 · Cynthia MaugerI was calling around looking for a heating coil and Tom here at Mountain Air was the only one who both took the call and was willing to see if he could help me. They were responsive, polite, and professional on the phone even going so far as to offer a rebuild of the coil to get me up and running. While I did not elect to use their services for this particular need, they will absolutely have my business in the future.
