David was spot on, exactly what we needed & all compatible with whole home generator.So here we go... we're in deep east Texas, beautiful, yet Summer temps easily over 100°, with "feels like" temps rivaling Hell.All individual's which worked on our installation were truly just wonderful. Their technical abilities exemplary, their attitudes positive, regardless of heat, older home narrow halls, tight attic , any or all misc... these professional took all in stride, amazingly.Not easy installs by any standards, McWilliams did fantastically clean installations, like works of art. They also added three more vents for AC return flow by creating air access from within another room. They did so many helpful things during their installation to sustain the performance of our equipment... leaves you speechless.The end result is our home now has a Lennox 3 ton, 2 stage/phase, energy efficient greater than 16, with a Soft Start & Surge protector installed, exterior unit.Interior , we also have Lennox equipment. Gas Furnace, AC air handler (they educated us, and yet we still call it Air Handler, lol),Clean Air filtration system, Anti-Viral/Anti-Allergen neutralization system, Coolant level Monitoring... numerous items.It all equals relief as we bring our home heating & cooling into 2025. Of course, it's summer, so heater was tested. It's all great, but we can only speak about AC for now. The unit & tonage selected for us after home eval... is solid performance, cools quickly, is quiet, cost effective & we couldn't be more appreciative or happy. All is compatible with our whole home generator system & the additional Air Vents installed are esthetically pleasing too.On the thermostat, yep, another challenge. Modern times everything desired & industry standardized is geared high tech, wireless, uses apps ... well... won't work on our farm.Wifi is unstable at our precise location & we need units which our generator can run during power outages. Our phone towers go power down, too, so then no phone service. Like when a hurricane makes landfall in the Gulf.We needed the smartest, stand-alone thermostat which could access & utilize our new equipments' features to their fullest potential without being dependent upon wifi or the internet.McWilliams team was already knowledgeable of such thermostats. As selected & installed, exactly what we needed. This is awesome, too!... also they cleaned up everything during & afterward. They took the initiative to:Put cardboard down on our floors to protect them during our installation.Ensured no dings in our glass doorsEnsured no scratches on our narrowed hall wallsThey even vacuumed. These are technical professionals who enthusiastically cleaned up everything.. amazing again.. and we greatly appreciate all!At the end of the day... if you've the mentality when you hire someone, that they work for you... you will select the wrong company because the dynamic is a temporary situation of "you get what you pay for" on both ends.Reality is you can't afford another person's years cost value of experience and/or education.It's far better to hire professional individuals who work with you, and then you can enjoy your buyers' enthusiasm. Outstanding experience! Very flexible with scheduling and prompt next day estimate on a Sunday. Installation team out in the morning and finished by lunch. Guidance from office members during the process was exceptional. Above and beyond for the entire team!

THANK YOU CHRIS, JAMES, AND BEN!!!Thank you McWilliams 👊Y'all are truly blessed to have such a phenomenal crew and a group of technicians with such a tenacious work ethic, that "do it right the first time" attitude working for you 🏆My wife and I have been saving for approximately 5 yrs to replace the old broken unit we had. We just couldn't afford the interest payments on a loan. That's a long time to deal with the Texas heat and only a window AC to compensate, but it was worth it.We waited till winter to help the technician's not suffer in a hot attic. We called several different HVAC companies and were given a bit of the run around. I finally called McWilliams to schedule an estimate. Chris called almost immediately after the appointment was scheduled. He came out within about an hour. Did a thorough inspection of the existing equipment, measured the home for the proper system, and gave us several options to complete the replacement.We landed on the middle cost as that fit our savings budget. No it was not cheap by any means, but you get what you pay for and I'll leave it at that.The appointment was set and we waited in an anticipation 😁James arrived with Ben at our home spot on the appointed time, surprisingly they were followed closely by Chris the original tech that provided the estimate 🤯 . Typically you don't get three professionals working in such a beautiful symphony like flow. It was truly a sight to behold. I work in a similar field and let me tell you it's next to impossible to get such a well oiled group of guys together. Bravo McWilliams 👏Ben started outside on the condenser, Chris started knocking out the venting, and James started on the evaporator and gas furnace. Then Ben and James switched. James installed the new condenser, while Chris and Ben replaced the venting. Ben crawled all around the attic (extremely small crawl space - the boy's a beast) for hours replacing the venting and getting things ready for the new furnace and evap.All three coordinated perfectly to remove the old units shoe horned into the attic. Then to my amazement they installed the new bigger unit into the attic like it was just a typical day 😲Chris had to leave to run more calls, but as a technician myself I know him just showing up is going above and beyond.James and Ben continued buttoning up all the install. They worked approximately 12hrs straight with hardly a break and got us up and running. That's what I call grinding it out. Great job guys and fantastic install.I can't say enough on how impressed I am with McWilliams and their work ethic. Keep up the great work y'all 👍 100/100

We paid $11,750 for a brand new AC unit on March 17. From day one, the follow-up has been a complete mess. No one checked in after install. I had to call myself. When someone finally came out, they didn’t even realize the filter hadn’t been installed. He was confused and said someone would call me the next day. No one did. The filter issue wasn’t fixed until March 21.Then, on June 26, that brand new unit stopped working. The tech said it was leaking and a part needed to be ordered. I was told I’d get a call—again, no call. I’ve called twice asking for an update and still get nothing but “someone will call you back.” No one ever does.So here we are, weeks later, and my expensive AC system still doesn’t work. No communication. No accountability. No urgency. Absolutely unacceptable customer service for the price we paid.
