Heritage Mechanical Services, Llc Introduce
For Virginia homeowners and businesses, having a reliable contractor who can manage essential mechanical systems—from air conditioning to plumbing and electrical—is paramount for safety and comfort. Heritage Mechanical Services, Llc, based in Mechanicsville, VA, is a local contractor that aims to cover multiple needs under one roof. While initially specializing as an **Air Conditioning Contractor**, their service portfolio has expanded to offer a broader range of crucial mechanical and utility services for the local Virginia community.
The company, led by owner Eric D. Brown according to public records, promotes itself as a source for expert plumbing and electrical services, alongside its core HVAC competencies. Their marketing emphasizes the convenience of a "One Call, Two Solutions" approach, aiming to be the singular, dependable resource for a wide array of system installations, repairs, and emergencies. This integrated approach can be highly appealing to local users who prefer to deal with a single, familiar contractor for various home or commercial issues.
However, users seeking their services should be aware that customer experiences can vary significantly. One detailed review offers a cautionary account regarding a major HVAC replacement: “Had him come out and replace my HVAC unit... Within two weeks time I had black mold growing around the edges of my ceiling. Called Eric a few times about this issue and all I have gotten from him is it will cost me for him to come out to diagnose the problem.” This feedback suggests potential challenges in post-installation support and problem resolution for complex jobs. While the business formally offers repair services, homeowners must consider the entirety of public feedback when making a decision about large investments like HVAC unit replacement.
It is crucial for any contractor, especially those dealing with mechanical systems, to ensure not only proper installation but also accountability for unforeseen complications, particularly those that affect indoor air quality, such as mold. Potential customers in Virginia are advised to engage in thorough due diligence, clearly documenting the scope of work and ensuring a mutual understanding of warranties and follow-up procedures before committing to major projects.
Heritage Mechanical Services, Llc is locally rooted in Mechanicsville, Virginia, providing a dedicated service base for clients in the Central Virginia region. This local positioning allows them to offer responsive service to the surrounding communities for emergencies and scheduled maintenance alike.
The essential contact and address information is:
- Address: 8130 Elm Dr, Mechanicsville, VA 23111, USA

- Mobile Phone: +1 804-543-5805
- Owner/Principal Contact: Eric D. Brown (according to public BBB records)
Being situated directly in Mechanicsville on Elm Drive ensures that they are geographically convenient for many residents and businesses, enabling timely dispatch of their certified technicians for service calls. They advertise responsive service, which is a major factor for Virginia customers facing urgent heating or cooling problems.
Heritage Mechanical Services, Llc presents itself as a multi-disciplinary mechanical contractor. While the core "type" listed is **Air Conditioning Contractor**, their current service model provides a more extensive list of home and business utility solutions. The primary, publicly confirmed offering is:
- **Repair Services:**
- Air conditioning system repair (AC repair).
- HVAC system repair and component replacement.
- General repair services for mechanical systems.
Based on their broader self-description in public domains (which may reflect services offered in addition to the core type):
- **Plumbing Services:**
- Installation and repair of plumbing systems.
- Emergency plumbing repairs.
- **Electrical Services:**
- Installation and repair of electrical systems and components.
- Upgrades and troubleshooting for various electrical needs.
- **Installation & Comprehensive Projects:**

- Renovations and full system overhauls.
This wide range suggests that the company positions itself as a comprehensive mechanical service provider for both residential and commercial projects in the Mechanicsville area, aiming to be a convenient "one-stop-shop" for multiple home utility needs.
The key features of Heritage Mechanical Services, Llc center on their breadth of offerings and local commitment, although potential clients should carefully weigh these against customer experience reports.
- **Integrated Mechanical Solutions:** They offer a convenient package of services including air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical work, potentially simplifying maintenance and repair for customers who prefer a single contractor for multiple needs.
- **Local Presence:** Based in Mechanicsville, the company emphasizes local service and rapid response times within the Virginia region.
- **Focus on Repair Services:** Their confirmed offering includes dedicated repair services, crucial for addressing unexpected system failures quickly.
- **Free Estimates and Transparent Pricing:** The company advertises providing free estimates and transparent pricing, aiming to offer service with "no hidden fees, no surprises."
- **Residential and Commercial Coverage:** They are equipped to handle projects for both homeowners and commercial entities, expanding their reach within the local market.
When considering Heritage Mechanical Services, Llc for your Virginia home or business, the primary benefit is the advertised convenience of their multi-service capability. Having one local contractor capable of handling air conditioning repair, plumbing issues, and electrical work can streamline maintenance and emergency response, saving time and simplifying vendor management. This can be especially valuable for busy homeowners or property managers.
However, local users must exercise caution and prioritize detailed communication and contract clarity, particularly for major installation or replacement projects like new HVAC units. The critical review concerning post-installation complications and the cost of diagnosis highlights the importance of discussing warranties and expectations for complex problems. When a project involves critical systems like HVAC where improper installation can lead to severe issues like mold, quality control and committed follow-up service are non-negotiable.
Ultimately, a Virginia resident should choose Heritage Mechanical Services, Llc if they value a contractor offering a wide array of mechanical services in one company and if they have conducted personal checks on the firm’s ability to manage their specific project type successfully. Due diligence, written agreements, and clear expectations for post-service issues are strongly recommended to ensure a satisfactory outcome.

Mar 24, 2024 · Randy ColleyWe had Eric install a complete new HVAC unit in our home 10 years ago. Every other year, we have had to call Eric to service the unit. Every time Eric diagnosed it as being low on freon, So, each time he came out was $500 for freon. This past year, again, we call Eric to service the unit. The unit was frozen and had to be thawed out. Eric also diagnosed that we needed to replace the coil on the air handler, but that was under warranty. We have tried for 8 months to get this accomplished. On the last day of our warranty, he explained that we needed to put the coil on our credit card in order for him to get the part to fix our unit. (He didn't have the money to pay for it)Today, we had another HVAC company to diagnose our unit and found nothing wrong with our coil. Please beware of this company, unable to diagnose issues, charge you for items not needed, and very unreliable.

Feb 04, 2022 · Lisa ColemanInstalled us a unit last year, gave out about a month ago. Had them come a few weeks ago, charge me $350 and claimed they fixed it and changed the filters. 3 weeks later, gave out again and the store temperature was over 90 degrees for over a week. They sent a worker, claimed to fix the return Filter and cleaned coil, charged me $120. Still broken and still 95 degrees in the store. They claimed that we should close our deli to reduce the heat in the store and the AC was just not strong enough, so I did that and lost days of business. Had another company come out ASAP, and they fixed it the next morning in less than an our after noticing our evaporator and condenser’s needed cleansing which wasn’t done either of the 2 visits. It’s now working perfect (with the deli running) and the other company charged me less than I had to pay for these 2 pointless visits. Lost a customer here :/

Jul 27, 2020 · One Stop Food MartThey installed a new hvac system in my home. Immediately I noticed something wasnt correct. after a few house calls I got tired of arguing with a "professional" and gave up. Power Bill's doubled. The last one was 551 dollars in a 1200 sq ft home. he sent one of his techs out after another complaint who found a broken wire on the reverse valve (his words) and said I was right when thinking the heat and ac were on at the same time.
