Pete and his assistant came to my home and quickly diagnosed my air conditioning problem. He is very knowledgeable of HVAC and I was duly impressed with his service. He arrived when he said he would, too. His office manager was also kind and helpful. I coordinated his service call with her.I would highly recommend Carolina Custom Comfort for any of your HVAC needs.

I have American Home Shield and they sent this company to my home to repair the A/C. The owner and only mechanic, Pete told me that the freon I needed was very expensive because it is no longer produced. He charge me $405 for 3 pounds of freon. I decided to look into this issue and I found he quoted me for R22 wich is scarse and then put in R410A that is half the price. He ripped me off and then left while my thermostat blinked and told me I had to figure out how to reset the unit. When I called him he said that is his company and he can chage whatever he wants. Terrible service and fraud! Stay away from them if you can!

Pete quickly diagnosed my faulty ac unit in less than 30 minutes. Required 1 lb of Freon and a new capacitor. I love his upfront pricing and explanation of the diagnosis.

My Home Warranty agency sent this company to my house. When they came, they said nothing was wrong. I took pictures to show them my HVAC unit outside has a problem. They could not detect it but told me they had 17 years experience. They ordered a part after I pushed the issue, and it took almost two weeks. They installed the part and it still did not work correctly, but told me that's what it was supposed to do. I had a gut feeling that wasn't right, so I call my home warranty agency and laser if they could send another company. The new company came out and immediately found the problem. The unit fan wires had been unplugged and the part they installed was installed incorrectly. I know it’s fixed now because the problems that were there before are gone. The new company explained to me what was going on, but this company was just in rush and didn’t explain anything. I have left 3 message for Pete to call me so that I could tell him about the service he provided, but he has not called and his assistant told me she gave him all of my messages. I would not let this company come to your house. Very unprofessional and if your home warranty agency recommends them, ask that they send another company. I never leave reviews, but I didn’t feel like I had a choice.

Unfortunately, this is the heating contractor our Home warranty company uses. They came out to look at our downstairs heating unit and diagnosed it as a pressure switch issue (very cheap, easy fix). Said it would probably be fine and left. 3 days later, we’re hosting family (including our terminally ill mother) and shocking, no one can be reached to fix the issue that wasn’t resolved the first time.
