Josh arrived even a bit early which was most appreciated. The unit needed to first melt the ice that had formed before the exact problem could be determined. The ice melted and Josh returned the SAME DAY and quickly diagnosed the problem and had my unit up and running cool air again. Very happy with the result. Josh is very knowledgeable and friendly. Superior customer and technical service, Boutwell's has earned my respect! Had a complete a/c & furnace install by Boutwell's in 2020, great price and timely installation. I was not only impressed with their workmanship but the owner came by to make sure everything was to his high standard! Flawless functioning until a power surge caused problems in 2025. When I called Boutwell's I was pleasently shocked when they had a technician at my house (Josh - he is AWESOME!) the same day! Just WOW! The offending part was covered by the 10 year parts warranty and Josh had us up and running in no time! I really appreciated Boutwell's honesty and integrity in NOT trying to "con" me about the problem or charge me extra for the same day service. Josh was up front and honest with his assessment and clearly knew his craft well! I am now a lifelong customer and give Boutwells my highest endorsement!! Thanks team, you folks ROCK!!!

Had a great experience with Boutwells. When our system was not worth repairing we got a quote on Monday and had the new unit installed two days later on Wednesday but it was the down season so I guess lucky timing for me. Multiple technicians were at my house and they were all professional. Very competitive pricing for my new unit.

We had Boutwell's Air Masters come out after already coming out twice this year the other day. The first time was in the Spring where they just do their Spring check up to make sure everything is running ok. They said everything was fine. Then a month later we had no cold air coming out so they came out again and said they were sorry but the last person should of added refrigerant but they didn't so they charged us $212 that day.Then this past week there was a pop on the AC outside so we called them back again. The technician said it would be $949 to fix it. The invoice they gave me said $300 for the refrigerant and another $649 to weld the pipe which only took 10 minutes. No parts were ordered just a few minutes weld job and we were charged $949. We have called the office numerous times to speak to a manager over the last few days and the lady Bonnie has been rude saying she gave the manager the message and it is out of her hands and not going to deal with us anymore. We are just just following up to get an itemized bill and how they can charge us $949 for an hour and 14 minutes of work when 45 minutes of that time was when he sat in his car while the unit was charging back up. They totally price gouged us and won't get back to us on a more detail itemized charge. A service call is usually around $70 so for that large amount to charge us was absurd. They totally took advantage of us because we can't go with out AC and I am being fair that they needed to put the $300 refrigerant in the unit but not the extra $649 upcharge. I have also seen some other reviews where they have done the same with other customers and the manager won't return phone calls. I have already but a call in to the County Commissioner for that district and hopefully will get this resolved soon. Just because it is Summer they have no right to upcharge customers because of the heat.
