Exceptional customer service and customer service from first call all the way to install. Kious was incredibly patient and extremely customer service oriented through the entire process… especially when working with my elderly mother who had a language barrier. He didn’t just sell a unit and disappear like some other big companies. He was in touch with us every step of the way until our install was complete and even ensured afterwards that we were happy with our unit… very hard to find in companies nowadays! You get a big name company with a small hometown feel by going through American! The install crew was fast and efficient and very courteous. This is one place where quality was very high and price was very reasonable!!! Highly recommend this company!

I have used this company for about 10 years and I was very happy until this year when I had a bad experience. I had even recommended friends and neighbors to AH&C over the years and they too had good services.But on 4/24/25 I called American Heating and Cooling INC for an annual service for my two systems, Technician showed up on 4/29/25 looked at the system and said that one of the system isn't cooling and the Evaporator was bad and need to be replaced. There was no checking for leaks, just said typically it is the evaporator. he spent a long time outside by the system and also on the phone talking. I asked him to tap the system with refrigerant and then look for the leak to be sure it is the Evap coil but he said it would cost $1000 to charge the system because there was no refrigerant in the system. Well that was strange because the system was working before he showed up, all I wanted was a tune-up.He kept insisting that I need a new system because it is 10 years old and he will have his sale person come out to give me an estimate, so I agreed for that and he left after I paid him $120.00. They did gave me a quote for a new system at $13,000.On 5/3/25 I had another company "B" look at the system and they said the system had no refrigerant, so they recommended adding Nitrogen to the system to find the leak, checked and couldn't find a leak, he then decided to leave the Nitrogen in the system for couple days.On 5/7/25 the tech from company "B" returned and the pressure was the same which means there was no leak. The tech then told me he will pull a vacuum on the system and add refrigerant which he did and checked again for leaks and couldn't find any.It had cost me $1000.00 for the service and my system is working fine since 5/7/25.I did reached out to Daniel at AH&C, he responded to my e-mails but couldn't do anything about the service they provided.I would never ever use them again and I will advise all my friends and neighbor to stay away.

Service tech Nautica was the best ever. She was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. Answered all questions, and explained the AC system, and even adjusted the thermostat settings. American Heating and Cooling is fortunate to have such a qualified person working for them.

The lady I just spoke to over the phone wanted $99 just to tell me how to turn off set schedules from my thermostat. This number was on my thermostat so this is who I called. I find this really strange this woman wanted basically a hundred dollars from me just to tell me over the phone how to delete set schedules on my thermostat! What is wrong with people? Upon looking up the phone number on Google, I see this "service" is in Nashville! Which explains the interaction and response from this woman. I live in Franklin, and in Franklin we have great service with anyone we call for help. I feel so bad for people living in Nashville, this is the kind of treatment you get for simple help over the phone that the neighbors would just tell me how to do it, or some random person here would, too. Lastly, I will say to that woman, that you should be ashamed of yourself trying to get my money for something that's not even a service. So glad I don't live in Nashville! Because I definitely couldn't deal with people like this.

I've used American Heating and Cooling for several jobs, including running additional ductwork in my attic. They service my AC system twice per year. I've always been happy with them, and have found their prices to be reasonable. This time Nautica provided the AC service check. She was excellent, explaining to me what was checked, including photos. She wrapped wires that were showing wear and explained duct work and filter MERV ratings to me. I will continue using their service & recommend them to others.
