Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling Photos
Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling Introduce
For homeowners in St. Louis, Missouri, selecting a general contractor for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) work is one of the most critical decisions they make to ensure home comfort and safety. The company in question, Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling, presents itself as a local provider for these essential services. However, a review of available public consumer feedback suggests that potential customers should proceed with extreme caution and exercise thorough due diligence before engaging their services. The information provided below is derived directly from customer accounts regarding their experiences with this contractor.
The necessity of a reliable HVAC system in Missouri's climate—where temperatures fluctuate dramatically—means that when service is needed, it must be swift, accurate, and trustworthy. Unfortunately, numerous customer reports indicate that the experiences provided by Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling have fallen significantly short of these professional and ethical expectations, raising serious concerns for local users.
Customer complaints detail allegations of incomplete work, poor communication, and what appears to be questionable billing practices, particularly concerning elderly clients. These reports serve as a critical warning, urging St. Louis area residents to verify all service claims and costs rigorously.
Location and Accessibility
Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling is based in the St. Louis metropolitan area, suggesting a capability to serve customers across the region.
The publicly listed address for this company is:
1114 Buckley Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125, USA
Their primary contact numbers are: (314) 487-6200 and the mobile number: +1 314-487-6200. However, customer accounts indicate that attempting to reach the company via phone, particularly for follow-up service or to address outstanding issues, has been problematic, with calls reportedly going "straight to voicemail" for "months." This suggests a significant issue with customer service follow-through and accessibility after the initial service visit.
Reported Services Offered (Use Caution)
As an HVAC contractor, Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling is advertised as providing core services related to climate control systems, falling under the umbrella of HVAC contractor, Air conditioning contractor, and Heating contractor. While the core offering is listed as repair services, the documented customer experiences cast a shadow on the quality and completion of these services.
The services they are structured to provide include:
- HVAC System Repair: Addressing necessary fixes for heating and cooling systems.
- Air Conditioning Services: Diagnostics and repair related to AC units, including issues like low refrigerant.
- Heating Services: Work aimed at ensuring proper function of heating systems.
- General Repair Services: Offering services to troubleshoot and repair home comfort equipment.
It is imperative to note that customers have raised serious issues regarding the performance of these services. One customer reported paying $240 for a service call and an attempted repair for a low-refrigerant AC unit, only to have the technician never return to complete the line replacement as promised. Another severe complaint details an alleged instance of the company taking advantage of "elderly Aunt and Uncle" by charging $250—including a $90 labor fee—to simply replace a battery in a thermostat, a fix that did not resolve the core AC problem, which was later fixed by a different, "legit company" for an additional charge.
Features / Highlights (Based on Customer Warnings)
Instead of positive highlights, the features of Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling must be framed as critical consumer warnings based on available public feedback, which local Missouri users should be aware of:
- Allegations of Incomplete Service: Multiple reports cite technicians failing to return to complete promised repairs (e.g., replacing an AC line) after an initial charge was paid, leaving customers with non-functional units and financial loss.
- Trouble with Home Warranty Coordination: The company allegedly failed to follow up with a home warranty provider after a service call was dispatched, resulting in the cancellation of the work ticket and requiring the customer to pay an additional $100 service call fee to restart the process with a different company.
- Questionable Billing Practices: There are serious allegations of excessive charges for minimal work, such as charging an "outrageous service call fee" and a $90 labor fee for only replacing a thermostat battery, totaling $250, without fixing the actual broken air conditioner.
- Poor Post-Service Communication: Customers report that attempts to contact the company for follow-up or to rectify incomplete service have failed, with calls going unreturned for extended periods, suggesting a lack of accountability.
- Failure to Resolve Core Issues: In reported cases, the root cause of the HVAC failure was not identified or fixed by Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling, necessitating a subsequent, costly service call from a different, more competent contractor.
- Consumer Protection Concerns: Due to the serious nature of the complaints, including alleged instances of exploiting vulnerable populations, customers have suggested involving local news consumer protection agencies, such as 'Fox 2 News,' to address the financial harm.
Contact Information (Use with Caution)
Prospective customers are advised to use the following contact details with an understanding of the severe communication and follow-up issues reported by past customers.
Address: 1114 Buckley Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125, USA

It is strongly advised that anyone using these contact methods document all communications, promises, and financial transactions thoroughly.
What is Worth Choosing (Consumer Warning)
Based on the available public reviews and detailed customer complaints, the choice of Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling is strongly discouraged for Missouri residents seeking reliable, honest, and professional HVAC service. The pattern of alleged financial harm, failure to complete service, and reported exploitation of customers, including the elderly, represents a significant risk.
Instead of offering positive reasons to choose this contractor, this summary must highlight the overwhelming consumer evidence suggesting that local users should avoid this company. Homeowners are urged to prioritize contractors with clear, verifiable A+ ratings from organizations like the Better Business Bureau, transparent upfront pricing, and a demonstrable history of fully resolving service issues and honoring their commitments. In the competitive St. Louis HVAC market, there are many reputable firms; the services offered by Air Quality Services Heating & Cooling, as documented by their customers, do not appear to meet the standards of quality or integrity that hard-working Missouri families deserve. Any interaction with this company should be approached with skepticism, and all potential customers should seek multiple bids from highly-rated competitors.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We placed a service call through our home warranty. They gave the service call to Air Quality. The guy came out stated we were low on the refrigerant for the AC unit. We have to pay $100 for any service call through our home warranty we have had nothing but great service with Home Warranty of America. This guy told my wife the line from the AC unit had to be replaced and was suppose to come back to fix it but never did. When speaking with the rep from Home Warranty of American he never followed up with them and the ticket was closed. We had to place another call which cost us another $100. We have tried for months to call and it straight to voicemail. We paid $240 to this guy for incomplete service. Sir if have no good intentions on doing quality work as your name states change the name. Good hard working American people out here you're making money ripping them off. Time to get Fox 2 News you paid for it involved.
Aug 15, 2023 · Gabriel PopeIf I could give this company no stars I would this group of thieves took advantage of my elderly Aunt and Uncle .They called because the AC wasn't working thought maybe it was the thermostat the guy showed up charge them $90 labor fee and put a new battery in the thermostat then charged them and outrageous service call fee when it was all said and done it was $250 air conditioners still wasn't working we had to call Academy air they came out said the thermostat was working perfectly fine the problem was the actual air conditioner outside had had a problem So my aunt wound up having to pay a legit company $450 to do the job correctly now her air conditioner is working. I do not understand how these Jokers can sleep at night charging elderly people and not fixing anything absolutely do not use this company they will rip you off!!!!
Jun 01, 2023 · Laura SandersOriginally told me that he would be at my place in one hour, 45 min later he called and stated he wouldn't be able to make it until another hour. Another hour went by, still no one showed. Called and stated he was another 45 min out. Waited all day for him to show up...nothing. i called someone else to come out, with no response from this business owner. Over an hour later, 2 guys show up, after I've called to cancel his services. I refused service to him and he got aggressive on my own porch, and i told him to leave. I wouldn't hire this guy ever. Bad customer service and never shows up when he says.
Aug 13, 2023 · Jake MarshkyMy parents heat was not working and they had recently both had heart attacks and the temperatures were in the 40’s at night so they called this company to come out and look at it. This company stated it would be 89 dollars for consultation. After looking at it he told my parents he needed to get a part which they agreed to however the man there did not tell them the cost of the part. He then came back with the part and told my parents it didn’t work. He then charged the 500 dollars for parts that did not work and proceeded to tell them he had to leave as he had spent too much time there. She was upset about the situation and he proceeded to yell at my 65 year old mother who had a heart attack a month ago. He then left after charging them 500 dollars for something he did not fix. He also had a partner who sat in the car the whole time and did not help but yet they were charged 200 dollars for labor. He was there for maybe 3 hours. When I called to speak with a supervisor they refused to give me the name of a supervisor and said very rudely I could try to call another time. Unbelievable service. I am so disappointed that anyone would treat a 65 year old in this manor. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
Oct 07, 2020 · Sarah WillardI called them at 12:15 pm and they said it would probably be an hour and a half or so. They called me later and said it would be 4:30. They got lost and were here after 5 When he gave me the bill he charged me after hours service call because it was after 5 through no fault of my own. When I told him that I didn't think I should have to pay the additional overtime service call rate he refused to do anything about it. This was a $650 repair not just a couple of hundred. I explained my side and he still refused to do anything therefore I am giving him a 2 star.
